Your linked thread seems to be dead, do you still do this? Wondering what you have in orange/hydro-blue, or orange/hydro-blue/black.

I love the Bulletpoint products. Picked up the 7cm arm and the MagSafe mount.

how hard to erase the bullet flag? Ha. Not a fan. I can’t decide on a phone mount but the MagSafe is what I prefer. Does that attach directly on your phone or do you need a magnet sticker on your phone?

Looks like the bullet flag is etched in there. The MagSafe is amazing but, you have to have the MagSafe case. It comes with 2 sticky backed magnets. I added one to my phone case and now it hold really really well. I’m hitting the trails this weekend so, we shall see how well.

cool! Let me know. I’m still on the hunt for a true MagSafe mount solution since I don’t use a case. Have fun!

I agree. I am a gun owner but still do not see the utility in their logo on my phone mount. The only thing that saves it is that it gets covered when my phone is mounted.

Well, the MagSafe mount is a keeper. Rock solid phone didn’t fall off not once even over big bumps and humps. Don’t like the logo? I suggest a black sticker or paint. If a logo is the only thing stopping you from buying this then, I dunno what to tell you. It’s an amazing product.

cool! The logo isn’t the only thing. It’s just a tacky annoying thing to look at if my phone isn’t on it. I don’t need bullets or flags on my phone mount. Heh. Not the end of the world.
Thanks for the update.

As far as the locker controller, I was reading about masking tricks used by model builders ... it sounds like some flavor of liquid mask is the answer. Since it feels like the white portions are recessed, I was thinking to apply a mask and then squeegee/ sand it down gently ...thoughts?
Use wax?
Rub a candle over the grooves until its full, then use a block sander to sand over the top to remove excess wax before painting.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will give it a try. I tried a latex mask, but I couldn't get it thin enough to directly fill the pattern and it peeled too easily when I tried to clean up the edges. If the wax doesn't work, I have some plastic mold release that might work similarly (only thought of this because of your suggestion)

I was actually thinking about trying to find something the would etch the plastic deeper (using the existing paint as a mask) and then fill the deeper etched plastic with a mask ... but I didn't dig into that yet. The primary reason for this plan came out of a desire to customize the aux switch text. I might etch away a rectangular section of the black plastic until I am down to the clear and then place a rectangular sticker with clear text/image in its place.

Keep the suggestions coming!

Mulled it over some more...
I'm worried the wax will interfere with the paint.
I went and studied that part a little closer too.
The white parts are very shallow, so I see what you mean.
I wonder if I could paint the part orange, then redo the white easier?
if you used a rubber (not foam or fluffy) roller to apply some sort of masking over the orange, you could spray white to fill in the etching.
Some thing like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Jasco-1-Qt-Liquid-Mask-and-Peel-QJMS300/315144796

applied with something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Length-Rubber-Roller-Brayer-Stamping/dp/B07H8T38RV?th=1

The etchings might be too detailed though.

I got pretty excited when I saw the test piece.
I don't care so much about that button but the red switch really bothers me :p
