Driving a '23 Mojave and undergoing a very modest build (steel front winch & rear bumpers, etc) for 10-20% touring (mild terrain - dirt road & trails) and 80% daily driver/homestead utility. Will have ALU contour cab, roof rack - kayaks, eBikes & camp gear for touring and bed rack & roof rack as daily driver. Have installed PowerBrake kit, 2.5" springs, 2" lift kit - too much lift! Wife threatening divorce. Considering 2 options: 1) install 1.5" springs, keep 33" tires, install lower hanging side steps 2) keep factory springs and avoid all but mild touring terrain. Option 3) Divorce - not an option.

- How have Mojave owners addressed need to bolster suspension to accommodate added weight for touring & overlanding?

- Not all side steps hang the same - some appear to be near level with cabin floor, others appear to hang lower than cabin floor. Any recommendations for low er hanging side steps?

RSE step sliders are what you are after. They drop low and are pretty tough.

I’ve had my Mojave since end of 2021 and threw a 1 inch spacer lift on it all around with 37 bfgs a couple months after. It never rode like the stock feeling which is what mainly sold me on it over a Rubi. It still road great on the high way and floated over really rutted out roads and sand dunes, But I felt like the spacers messed with the springs tension. I put a metal bumper on the front and threw a 1.5 spacer to counter the heavy weight but it never road like the stock feeling. I recently just put on a franken lift with 2 inch synergy coils all around, metal cloak adjustable arms up front as well as a JKS track bar and the 4 link rock krawler kit in the rear. Got my Mojave shocks rebuilt and put on 2 inch shock extensions all around and 2 inch extended links on front/rear sway bars. I will say it cost way more than a standard 2 inch lift but I absolutely love the way it rides now. I netted a 2.5 lift in the front and rear so I’m hoping it settles a bit but I love it so far. It’s hands down way better than before with just the 1.5/1 inch spacers and shock extensions. My alignment guy has a brand new raptor and he said my jeep rides so smooth compared to his ride he had me jot down what I all put on it for future reference to customers and him potentially getting into a gladi. I will highly recommend this setup to anyone wanting to lift their jeep gladiator and mainly the Mojave edition. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Clayton, metal cloak, synergy and rock krawler. Trust me when I say this franken kit changed my love for my Jeep dramatically and the ride is phenomenal!

Works fine for me the way it came lol.

Steel bumper, 9k winch, tent, pad, fridge, camping gear, 2 adults... Works fine.
