I have a 2024 Mojave X and have had several issues with creaking type noises from the suspension. It’s even worse in the rain or if it gets wet. Last year they replaced all 4 shocks and that seemed to help for awhile but it’s came back now and not sure what’s causing it. Dealership says they’re not familiar with an issue. Anyone else having a similar issue? It’s pretty persistent and typically only going slow speeds. TIA

Yes. I have a 2021 overland. It is a periodic creaking - going over rough gravel, or speed bumps. (It’s been doing this for a few years but I can never replicate by the time I get to service). It only does that in cooler weather and when it is just starting a journey. I just had the back shocks done and left the lot with the creaking. I’m going to do a diff service soon. Mechanic did full inspection of suspension and didn’t see any issues other than leaking shocks. Suggested diff service (which they done do).

Also yes for the slow speeds, I meant to add. Slow and until it’s been run for a few miles. I’m currently at 80k kilometers on my milage

Fox shock shaft seals tend to get dry and squeak. Put some silicone grease on the shaft near the shock body, and see if it stops.

This is normal Fox shock behavior. The great off road performance is worth the creaking.

I've owned my Mojave for 4.5 years and can tell you nothing is wrong with your suspension. The Mojave suspension is rad for an OEM offering.... noise is one of the tradeoffs. It happens most in cold weather.

Yes, it seems worse in cold or whenever it gets wet. I honestly can’t stand it, it sounds awful.

So….I have a 2024 Mojave X with only 16,000 miles. It doesn’t suck up the bumps like it used to when it was new. When it was new…it was incredible how soft the suspension was. I haven’t looked close enough to see if anything is leaking.

I’m not sure how to ‘test’ the shocks and determine they need a warranty replacement.

I have a 2021 Mojave and have been dealing with all the noises for the last couple years. Creaking, cracking, crunching you name it lol. Always seems to be worse when it’s cold out. I think it could be a bushing but the dealer has inspected several times. So far they have replaced all the shocks, tightened front end components, and recently found one of the rear springs had a very tiny crack in it….maybe look at the springs next? Mine were replaced and I swear I occasionally still hear the noise when I go up and down the driveway curb..I’m trying not to accept it for what it is but I’m still unsure. Hopefully you figure it out!

I hope so too. I don’t have much faith that the dealer will find anything to fix. It’s driving me nuts, lol. I had a 21 Rubicon before this one and never had the issue. It’s ironic that the experience components that make it a Mojave causes these types of noises. It sounds like an old beater vehicle.

Have them check those springs next. And yeah I get it, one of the main reasons I bought the Mojave was because of how beefed up everything was. It’s never been off road or wheeled yet! Crazy right? Our roads are terrible but still you’d think a vehicle of this caliber would be fine. I forgot to mention my rear springs have been replaced twice for the same reason!! 🫣 It’s my daily driver! If it’s under warranty still, do not give up!
