Mopar Lift - advice for improving hwy ride?

Installed the Mopar lift on my new Sport S Maxtow along with 17x8.5 0mm wheels on BFG KO2 35x12.50 tires. Was really surprised how the setup seems to be too stiff AND too floaty at the same time. How is that possible?
Anyway, advice to improve the hwy ride? The rear bucks like crazy when empty, and I can feel every seam in the road even at 28psi. Makes your teeth chatter on washboard, but wallows when you hit a dip.

im not familiar with the exact particulars of the mopar lift, but what youre describing sounds like over sprung and under damped.

the stiff springs communicate the road, and the lack of damping allows the springs to over drive the damper and cause “float”.

That’s what I’m thinking... weird it wouldn’t be tuned correctly considering it’s Mopar’s own kit, for the JT, and using the included Fox 2.5” dia shocks that came with it. Almost feels like one or more shocks are bad straight out of the box. Anyone else have to get a warranty check on these parts?

Its possible you could have a bad shock. Not even Fox and Icon are perfect. Just head to your dealer and have them take a look at it. Shouldnt be a hard fix.

Well, obviously. ? Prepared for that $80 “lemme look at it” fee.
3rd party install from a place that knows suspension, but not specifically Jeeps. They said both the rears seemed a little soft, but assumed it was intentional since it’s not just one and on same axle. Would like an opinion from Mopar or Jeep if possible, otherwise might just upgrade and sell them.

Curious if anyone has tried to get a warranty fix on these from a dealer who didn’t install it. Do they track dealer-installed stuff between dealers? How would one dealer even know of another installed it vs a 3rd party? Plus if defective, I’d assume the warranty is still valid unless it was installed wrong.

if there is a defective part the part has a warranty. Just go into your dealer and have them help you out.

Sounds like mine on a JLUR. The Mopar shocks are not bad, just wrong valving. My test road at 45mph would kick the rear end out. I no longer have the springs or shocks from the lift on. It's funny as I have a buddy drive it "it's ok". Some of us really want more than others

So true! Considering the tires are at least 5” taller, LT load range E vs passenger car rated w/load range C, 30lbs heavier per wheel, and the whole thing sits 6” higher than a stock sport I parked next to... Why does it ride different? ?
Thinking just needs a sand bag or two in the bed like I did with my Tacoma. ?

@RiverMtnBeach Just a suggestion, check to make sure the springs are in the correct locations. Each spring has a specific location on the corners.

Funny, I think I just solved my hwy ride issue with a $5 bag of playground sand in the bed. ? She hates riding empty!

Sadly there are too many shops that are not reading the instructions that come with the lift. Too many pictures of front shocks on the rear, springs on the wrong side.... It not that difficult to do it correct.

OP would be a good idea to check the part#'s on the springs and shocks to make sure they are installed correct.

I have almost the same setup....although narrower axles (sport s without max tow) and lower load rating tires in virtually the same size (BFG 315/70/17 C-rated), also added adjustable track bar (although drove fine before it)

Honestly, I am blown away by how good the ride is...stiff enough that it feels like a truck/jeep but goes over our NJ potholes really well.

I also run my tires at 37psi cold (same as stock), maybe that helps?
