Just guessing but I think I read somewhere else on this forum that the rate is the same.. Just the springs are a little taller.

That's what I would imagine coming from Mopar, but I cannot find squat on them. Thanks!

Yeah it's tough. I even contacted 2 or 3 of the aftermarket companies and none of them could even give me their actual spec. Just were saying that with so many pounds and so many extra inches of lift you would end up being level. Sadly, that doesn't answer the questions.

I think Dobinson is the only ones who can (or will) give their actual spring rate spec. Although that doesn't help with the Mopar lift. I would also like to know....

I can't even find what factory coil spring rate is for JTR. I know most of the JL companies list spring rates, wonder what the big secret is for the JT?!

btw, what part of Montana you in? Been looking at property out there. Most likely a pipe dream as of now, unless I hit that powerball!! lol

I have wondered the same thing. No clue why this information is so secretive. Honestly my guess would be nobody knows and nobody cares? I know that's a crap attitude but more and more these days I can never seem to find actual true specifications from manufacturers - of all types. Just the other day I was trying to get weights from a company, and they gave me something like a 200 pound range - and I was very specific as to what options I was interested in and not interested in. Or even legally binding documentation from the power company doesn't have, and doesn't care to find, the documentation they claim to have. So I get to take them to court. All so that I can be 'reasonable' on my own property... Getting accurate data is frustrating to say the least.

I live on the western side of the divide. Its a pretty cool area. My town is pretty small, and kinda poor because there's not huge industry here other than tourism and timber. But I like it here. It doesn't offer exactly what I enjoy doing a lot of times, but those things are within a day's drive. The state, sad to say, is being overrun though. Lots of folks of the non-montana mindset are moving in trying to change this place to be the same as the place they left because it fell apart. So it's a shame. Folks are also taking advantage of others pretty heavily as house costs are absolutely insane. The place I bought last year, in all honesty, should have been at best half what I paid for. But you'd be lucky to find a condemned trailer house for under 200K. Even places way out in the woods are easily pushing 200-500K - sorry for the rough news. There are 'cheap' places but they're usually in a place that, well I wouldn't want to live... There is a lot of public land and a lot of cool places to see no doubt. Many folks are taking advantage of that and doing the van life thing. Problem is is they also have zero respect and leave trash and crap everywhere. Last year at work I literally smelled human poop an entire day because people were just randomly pooping in the woods not even digging a hole.... But that problem is everywhere it seems because folks just dont seem to care anymore. I love the flathead area, hungry horse reservoir, even the 'yuppy' areas like whitefish have some cool things to them, but its all just being destroyed and insane prices thanks to the influx of ritzy folks and instagrammers. They do bring some good aspects no doubt. But also a lot of bad that is making it no longer what it used to be. Most people say if you want to move to Montana you either need to be a millionaire or have a guaranteed really high paying job (as in 80K/yr net plus). Otherwise it's not affordable. Not sure there's many places left in the US to Get away from that though. But you might enjoy these....

WHICH Rubicon springs? There were at least 3 different springs used. There is no "Rubicon" spring, there's a range of Rubicon springs.
So if looking for the spring rates for Rubicon springs, you need the spring number to get the rate for.
There's no "Overland spring" - there are multiple Overland springs. Same for Rubicon, Sport, etc.

So - which number Rubicon spring? ;-)

well that's irritating. but I guess understandable with different options available and all. Glad you said this before mine got too dirty/rusty to see.. There's a couple different numbers on each tag on the springs, so I'll give them all since I have no clue what is the right number to look at.

I don't have oem springs anymore, but surprised to hear there's 3 different JTR rates. My truck came with tow package, hard top, and steel bumpers. Really doesn't matter for me what oem was, but would be nice for others to know what they have.
Appreciate the replies so far.
