So either I caught a perfect rock or someone wanted to cause me a headache, but either way my MOPAR trail camera lens is shattered (has been for a few months actually and just now getting to deal with it). The camera still “operates” and turns on, but you can’t actually see anything - it’s all just a blurry mess. Anyone know what it’d cost to buy a replacement lens or what it might cost to buy the lens? I know the whole unit is around $1500, but I won’t be paying that. I’d rather go without the damn thing than pay $1500 again for the camera.

I wonder if warranty would cover the expense? Otherwise you might be able to claim it as comprehensive with your insurance?

I’d LOVE that, but when I called in to the dealership the other day they asked how many miles I had (39k) and then seemed to indicate that it wasn’t covered under the warranty. Still worth looking into further though!!

According to This post:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-trail-camera-to-gladiator-diy-writeup.35026/

The camera itself is PN 68436466AA

It looks to be about $150 bucks from BAM wholesale:

https://www.bamwholesaleparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-camera-68436466aa

I searched for it on the forum sponsor site AllMoparParts.com (@AllMoparParts.com) but didn't see it listed.
EXCELLENT find my friend! I could only find the whole assembly which was $1500ish so this is fantastic, thank you

That camera assembly is likely for the ACC/FCW system. When I looked it up, a long time ago, it was well over $1k. The Trail Camera components were harder to locate.

so you think the camera part I’m needing is going to be over $1000? Here’s what mine looks like, since I forgot to upload a photo before.

No, that part number was provided in another post and should be about $150. The $1k+ camera is for the ACC/FCW system.

I noticed a small chip in my camera, so I decided to put a lens protector on it. The closest match I could find was a lens protector for a GoPro Max.
