This was my first Jeep and I had heard a lot of horror stories about their reliability. I chalked a lot of that up to people who think they can rock crawl but have no clue what they are doing, but still, it was on my mind. When I looked into it, I found there were a couple dealerships that would sell you the warranty at cost + ~$100. I told that to Gupton at the time of purchase and was able to get the 7 year, mid level, warranty for under a grand (IIRC).I have a 2022 Gladiator diesel. It's got about 3K miles on it now with no problems. I keep getting emails, and US Mail offers from Jeep pushing the Protection Plan pretty hard. Am I being swayed by their marketing? Did anyone else buy this?
If your not an "influencer," then you're reading my mind because i have been considering this exact thing since i got my diesel back from the dealer...?.Thanks, all. I've had many Jeeps over the years, and always waved off the Extended Warranty, but this is my first diesel of any sort so I'm a little apprehensive. And, nope, I'm not an influencer or anything like that.
Well said. I also purchased extended warranty (maxcare)I went with the extended warranty for peace of mind and because I plan to keep this truck for a long time. I would definitely get one if I had the diesel engine. Do it soon, as the age and mileage increase the cost goes up.
