DONT feel like you need to keep up with everyone else driving fast in those conditions. The truck that passes you going fast on snowy roads will be the same one you see later down the road wrapped around a tree.
Smart. We always carry extra stocking caps and gloves.I’d keep some blankets/coats in the truck as well just in case you get trapped on a road in a blizzard or lost…who knows. It happened to me and my buddy in college in West Virginia once after spring break of all times.

I’ve lived here for 47 years and never owned tire chains.you will never need chains unless you live out in the boonies... I have a cabin that is off of a low maintained forest road and have never ever needed chains..if it gets that and you are that far off the beaten path get a snowmobile and use that.![]()
