I had 2 1978's. The first was a black Hurst T top, 400 auto, WS 6, black interior. The second one was a red 400 4 speed, WS 6, black interior. It was a freak. It had 4 wheel disc brakes. That doesn't show up on the books until 1979. I went through 4 motors with the red TA. The first 3 was Pontiac's 400's. Each different. The last 400 had RA V heads on it. Found out the big block Indian motors don't like high rpms. The last motor was a Chevy 454 LS7 crate motor.Per request….I thought I would start a thread about our other passions and mine is definitely my Hot rod 1977 Pontiac trans am! I build this car and engine over the last 10 years and it has a 700 butler performance 461 stroker engine and a Holley terminator engine management system. Engine pro touring Fbody Viking coilover suspension. 4L80e overdrive trans mission. I take it to the track regularly and run high 10 second. Any questions please ask!

wow an LS7 would be pretty awesome! But I do love my butler performance stroker and my holley terminator shifts it right around 6k..just to be safe…But I still rip into the 10’s no problemI had 2 1978's.
