and a dead pedal were the two most important comfort mods I installed.
Dead pedal makes a big difference. I wouldn't be without one since first installing it in my 2020, then removing it to put in the 2022 - couldn't wait to get it reinstalled!

This shows the difference in people, shapes and sizes and seats.
We drove almost non-stop back home from FL last month. No problems sitting for hours.

I didn't recognize it when I first read it but I was born with and still have "Hank Hill's butt". I could weigh 500 lbs and would never have a butt. I'd have a helluva belly and quadruple chin though.

I JUST drove 300 miles last night and I hadn't considered that a dead pedal would make it more comfortable. Is there really any difference one from another?

A lot of people have had success with these seat Jackers. There’s no permanent modification required to your jeep. Your install is loosening the rear two bolts holding the seat bracket down, then removing the front two bolts holding the seat bracket down. Then lifting the seat up and putting the spacers under the front of the seat bracket and reinstalling the bolts. And then finally tightening the rear bolts down.

all in all the install is less than a half hour and makes a large difference for taller fellas.
Just bought a set. Am hoping it doesn't put my head too close to the roof. Will report back!

I took one look at this thread and went straight to the website. This could be exactly what I'm looking for. I'm 6 ft even. According to their chart (and my inner seam), I went with the Shorty Front Seat Jacker. Ill post as well when they come in. I'm little worried about my head hitting the sound bar but free returns so can't hurt to try.

Save your money, try pulling over and standing up/walking around, get some circulation in your numb butt cheeks.

only issue I find at 6-3 is the need for an actual lumbar support. Getting back a normal lumbar curve helps alot.

One of the biggest reasons I like the Gladitor is the upright seating position - good back support for short and long drives - my two cents.

For all of the High Altitude haters, don't read this...there is a huge difference, in my opinion, between the sport seats and the high altitude - maybe it's just the leather, but, I think it is much more comfortable...I rented a sport and didn't like and loved the feel of the HA...

Another vote for Seat Jackers. It reclines the seat, only raising the front, and helps take some pressure off of your back. I'm not as tall as some of you, but until I installed these, I couldn't stand to drive the Gladiator more than an hour. These are very uncomfortable seats in my opinion. Seat Jackers made a huge difference.

I'll start off by saying my ass could be in better shape. I have not worked out and squatted in ages and my once plump bottom has morphed into Hank Hill's butt.

That being said, Im getting desperate for a solution. I purchased a well-reviewed memory foam seat cushion that has not helped.

These (cloth) seats are just awful beyond 3 hours.

I'm 6'4, 230 and need a solution that doesn't involve me chopping my car seat down being that I don't officially own it (yet).

If I'm not mistaken, the seat slammer that doesn't involve chopping the seat would make the seat higher which would probably put my head at the cusp of the roof.

Am I out of luck on solutions?
I mean this with no disrespect, but wouldn't the best (and cheapest) solution be to get some nice in-shape glutes? lol

Granted, I'm relatively young and in shape, but I've driven the JT with both cloth and leather seats for over 24 hours straight a few times, but typically do 15's often without any back or butt issues.

A lot of people have their steering wheel and seats in an "improper" (not ideal) position to begin with.

But, I also understand that everyone is different. Which is why I started with saying that I mean no disrespect :)

I WFH yet just crossed 40k on my 21’. We travel a lot. “Seat Jackers” is a bad name as they (we have both fixed and adjustable variants, wife on fixed me on the variable) tilt the seat back more so than jacking it up. You’ll have more head room, better resting leg placement and as another member put it I no longer felt like I was sitting atop a milk crate. Before I was rotating my torso and adjusting my legs seemingly every 30 mins. Now I don’t even remember when I felt uncomfortable last or weary/fatigue from discomfort.

After our first long trip I was half tempted to change seats entirely until I learned about the jackers from the forum. I’m 6’1” at 210, 34” waist and they were game changing. Worth a shot for sure.

As a taller fells (at 6'4") the last thing I want to do is raise my seat. I can barely see out of the windshield now. The rearview mirror and "box" for the Adaptive Cruise create a giant blind spot. Raising the seat would make it worse.

My local Jeep Club got some new windshield stickers and I sat in a Gladiator with one and could barely see out.

I don't find the seats uncomfortable but I would like better visibility without having to cut anything, like required with the Slammers.

This is my 6th Jeep in 25 years so I've learned to live with the poor visibility.
