Tired of my groceries and gear sliding around in the bed of my Gladiator, I tried a few solutions—bungee cords (not ideal) and a wood plank (functional but plain). Then, inspiration struck!

I saw an idea on this forum, put my own spin on it, and called in some artistic reinforcements—my talented wife. Using one of my “honey do” cards, I asked her to paint a custom mural on the plank. With some added trim to frame the artwork, the result? A practical and stylish solution that makes me smile every time I open the tailgate.

It’s almost a shame no one will see it! 😂

Isn't this just one more thing to rattle and bang around back there?

If cut to the correct length, they wont. At least mine does not. No need for extra foam padding

I put padding on each end and it’s very secure so far. I suspect it wouldn’t stay in place if I was rock crawling or bumping over speed bumps. However you print up a good point. Maybe I can find a way to latch it in place so that it would not come out. I’ll dwell on it…

Jeep Gladiator My DIY Jeep Themed Bed Divider IMG_6029

Mine isn't quite as fancy. I ripped a 2x8 to the same height as the tailgate when it's in the half down position to haul lumber and other long items. Then used our vinyl cutter to make the Jeep logo and Trail Rated badges. Since this photo, I added four slots along the top edge so I can grab it easier and put some clear poly on it to help protect the vinyl. I cut mine to a length that fits snugly in the pockets without needing anything extra to latch it in place and it stays there nicely. Never bounces out.
