Well wish me luck, started the project today.
Ordered up the aluminium, and hope to get started on the fab work in the next few weeks.
Attached is the cad concept. Now we will see how we get from paper to reality

Looks good to me! Missing one of the hinges, but think you know that. Question: do you think placing 4-way plate at the top of the back (where it meets the cab), runoff towards the top hinge,, may be reduced? Not questioning your build; just a question.

Also, would hydro lift arms serve you better in assisting you in lifting the back, vice regular hinges?

It will be getting some form of lift assist. Just not in the drawing. Haven’t fully decided on the top plate. But it does give you a little more internal height by having it. And I have two or three Raptors to carry in transport boxes that need to fit in the back.
