My policy is due for renewal in July. Clean driving record for as far back as I can remember. Can’t wait to see what they stick me with. I’ll let y’all know.

I see that now. Saw your homeowners went way up though. Maybe they can have a program where they put cameras and decibel sensors in every room of someone’s house so they can give a discount based on no visual evidence of meth labs or risky parties.
It's probably because we have 4 cats in the house. When we are downstairs, sometimes it sounds like we have horses running in the house upstairs. Tuvak likes to jump up on shelves and throw things at us.

I have all my insurance with Eri.Even if or when I get a chip or cracked windshield, they will put in an actual Jeep windshield and my deduct is only $100.00 bucks. I see what other companies would charge me for insurance, and Eri is always the cheapest. Been with them for 25 years. I was surprized that my insurance only jumped $100 bucks from my 2012 Jeep liberty, and i had full coverage on her.

I have Erie as well after Allstate tried to screw me with a 40% jump in my homeowners rate and not ever having any claims. Although I have not received my auto bill yet I’m hoping that they continue to treat us right.

It's just a mess all around. My auto rate went up too. Same scenario , no tickets, accidents etc etc. And they all did it at the same time so wtf is going on? Collusion! :)

Home insurance is just nuts now as well. Insurers dropping coverage, not accepting new customers etc.

My insurance company (21st Century) changed to Toggle at the end of 23. They told us basically it was just a name change and there would be zero adjustments in price. Then I got my first bill in January and it stated I would be paying $480/year more than I originally paid. I paid it for a month or two then started to look around.

Fast forward to March, I bought my wife a 24 Wrangler and traded her old one in. I went online to update my insurance policy and it said my vin number did not exist. So I called the company to change it. 3 1/2 hours on the phone and not a single person picked up. I finally said screw it and wrote an email as a last resort.

I then started looking around at quotes, and Geico came in just 4 dollars more than my original price before the hike, and that was for the new Jeep not the old one. So I switched companies. Apparently in California there’s a 15 day waiting period now, never heard of that before. But what choice do i have, I paid the first payment and waited it out, with a new 50k paperweight in my garage that I couldn’t drive for 2 weeks. After 11 days, I finally got an email from Toggle that said call us and we’ll take care of you. I couldn’t cancel that policy fast enough 🙄

Last August my homeowners insurance told me that they would cover us for another year, but in August of 24 they will no longer be handling California customers anymore. At least I have time to figure that one out before I’m screwed again 😂

My Gladiator went up 50% for my renewal date in June. I got it in February 2024. No tickets, accidents, claims, etc. My LJ and Buick stayed basically the same, as did my home and property. It makes me wonder why the Gladiator went up when nothing else did, and why such a change in 4 months.

I have never had a problem with Eri. My house insurance did go up over $80.00 over the last two years. They said it was the cost of doing business , Years where there are a lot of claims ,all insurance co, it go's up.

Talked with our agent on the phone for 40 minutes yesterday. Granted, some was just catching up and that sort of thing since we also bowled together and I was on the county board of directors when we saved his father's job and sent the state boys away whimpering.
He had only started in the business about 2 or 3 years before I went with him for insurance for farm and everything back in about 1982.
Anyway, the bill we got for auto coverage was a bit in between things - he said his screens showed a larger discount so the auto coverage for our 22 JT, 23 JLU Rubicon 4xe, and my two cars was almost a wash. I can accept $72 bucks compared to the rate of inflation and the fact that's spread over 4 vehicles for 12 months.

The property and house - that was a different animal - that was a big increase, but I looked back over the years and things haven't increased much at all in the past, and, we had a really low homeowners deductible - $100. He said they haven't sold policies with that low deductible in years.
They were also hammered hard by the 2020 derecho - and claims sometimes aren't paid until well after the fact on huge losses, so it just hit them last year, plus the storms of this season. He was brutally honest - even giving numbers out I suspect he heard in private meetings. With a couple of adjustments, the property/house stuff wasn't as bad as it first was going to be.

20-25% increases in all goods/services are basically unregulated capitalism running its course ... corporate greed ... enjoy!
