The answer to both of your questions is, No, I do not know about them.

But I'm curious. Why are you thinking you want them? Possible rock protection or as a step perhaps?

You mentioned "light duty."

I find myself in the same category. I drive on trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest in a Rubicon and I actually have Rough Country electric steps. Read: No rock protection, but dandy steps!

Having said that, this fall I am headed for a weeks-long adventure in the Rockies, ending up in Moab. I am thinking my electric steps will be left on some trail obstacle I cannot bypass where one of them gets knocked off.

Just curious for you to share your thoughts...

I do mostly desert and around town. Am looking seriously at the N-Fab Podiums...
The stainless steel construction attracts me...

Doing trips soon to Barnwell, Hidden Falls, then Arkansas OHV. Will be needing some type of slider for things I want to do, but it's not a hard core rock climber. Still need a step aspect.

For a functional rockslider and step take a look at the RockHard 4x4 Patriot Series. They have an angled down version that provides about 3.5" of drop across the entire length of the cab. Mounts in factory Rubi Rail location, so ends up with close to 6" of additional access. They are solid and will take a decent amount of abuse. No drilling or welding required. No electric to mess with.

Those looks like they are both pinch weld mounted. I would look for something frame mounted if your going to rub some rocks. LOD offroad has a few good products as well.
