The fan is for increased cooling capacity. 850 versus 600 watts. The blades are much wider, I am sure the CFM change is large. It will pull a hell of a lot more air through the radiator fins. The alternator is needed since the fan greatly increases the amperage draw enough where Jeep doesn't feel the base alternator is good enough.

At 12vDC:

600w: 50 amps
850w: 70 amps
Better air movement is essential when traveling in hot climates, or in the desert/dunes.

Thanks for all the feed back everyone. I decided that I need the factory tow setup for liability reasons as this will be a work vehicle. Really appreciate the response and found one that fits my needs. Picking it up tomorrow so I will post pics when she gets home!

I installed the 940 watt fan along with the 240 amp alternator and Z-fuse
What really keeps my jeep running about 25 to 30 degrees cooler is the RPM EXTREME FAN CONTROLLER
I no longer see coolant and oil temps as high as 230 to 240 degrees
The highest coolant temps I have see pulling a long steep grade on hw80 to Lake Tahoe was 212
On the Rubicon trail never went over 199
These temps where before I upgraded the fan and alternator. Just running the RPM EXTREME FAN CONTROLLER

Temps in the 220s don't bother me a bit. It's perfectly normal and not a problem. In fact, it's inefficient to run engines too cold. It may feel good, but it's not good.
You need high temperatures to get the moisture out. It's got to get hot and stay hot for a period of time.
Do whatever, but I'd never recommend trying to keep engines down under 220 degrees.
Heck, a conventional thermostat doesn't even fully open until 220 or better. That tells you that the engineers want the hotter temps.
My Comanche 4.0 used to run 215-220 as a matter of routine.
Running cold will absolutely shorten an engine's life, even if it does "feel good" seeing lower numbers.

WRONG. The thermostat on the 3.6 starts opening at 190 and is fully open at 212
This has been a problem trying to keep the jeeps running cooler
The engineers GOT THIS ONE WRONG and struggle with gladiator cooling system (see link)
This apply to any Wrangler or Gladiator with mods like tires and weight increases or pulling heavy loads
If you take a stock jeep up north in 30 to 50 degree temps you will never see the oil temps over 190 195
With the heater running in those temps the coolant temps will be about 190 195
The answer is change your oil more often
For the last 50 years I have always changed my oil at 5000 miles and put 300 to 400K on all my cars and trucks and never had to replace an engine or trans. I have 385K on my Tundra and still going strong

For the Rubicon and Mojave, there is no distinction between with or without tow package, only the trans. For that reason, a NON tow package Mojave is rated 4500 manual trans 6000 auto trans. With tow package? The same.
I have Max Tow Sport and it’s rated 7650

Current build option just calls it the tow package.. But it has supposedly better cooling By " heavy duty engine cooling"... 100% false advertising... Even on the sport s where max tow is shown, it still has the generic "heavy duty cooling" so probably all the same on the cooling front regardless of package.
Negative, I have 2020 Max Tow Sport and has the larger Alt and fan

A detail that I might have missed is tire sizes and type that definitely comes into play when towing or hauling a load. Not to be pissing about mine that is a Max-Tow.
Some of the nuances I've seen with stock tires 245/70r17 AT I regularly got 25 + (29 regularly) MPG's. Hauling around half ton or so cargo it didn't really notice it (or me) or with a trailer. Then when I worn the AT's down I installed the a set of OEM ST 245/70s actually lost a few MPG's (over AT's???). Now the big killer was set of narrow 33s AT "weight and tire diameter" knocked back MPG's to lower to 19-22 MPG's and slammed when towing. I regularly see down to 13.5 MPG while towing plus higher engine oil and transmission temperatures. Oil life guage drop to around 7500 miles too. I don't run to end of oil life and send sample to be tested. I did a lot of trailer towing last year, to point of wearing out the tires on a 3500 lbs rated trailer. I changed one tire for the spare being one was almost no tread left. So what was the loads hauled $15,000.°° building materials for a 12.6x26 ft cabin on down time the trailer with 4wheeler of about 900lbs, RTT,camping gear, ect. Trailer weights with 1500-3000 lbs, cargo in truck 800-975 lbs. Ballpark figures. The lighter trailer loads on trips up to 750-1000 miles. Other things I found is if trailer is lower than undercarriage of truck more drag is noticed at hwy speeds too.
More cooling for coolant, oil, and transmission would be great let alone more C.I. a inline 6 or V8 with more torque.
I hope this can help others out on something, it might not be relevant here at all. Others have covered most of the rest already.
