Need a little help.
I ordered a 2022 Sport S with max tow (4.10 gears). I put a 2” Mopar lift along with 35’s. I installed the Tazer but need advice on what size I should enter for the tires. My tires measure 33.25 tall. I’ve entered the exact size. I’ve recently gone up in size to try and get the MPH as close as possible. My main issue is the truck runs mainly in 6 or 7th gear at 60 mph and my mpg hovers around 14mpg average.
is this normal??

33.25 sounds low for 35s. Is your speedometer close to accurate set that way? My 35s are 34.5 inches. What tire is it?

They are the Cooper Evolution M/T’s. My speedometer is 2 mph higher than two different GPS devices.

You should be around 34.76 with that tire, in theory. I don't think the manufacturer would be that far off, at 1.5 inches compared to your measurements.

The way I measured was with a 2’ level on top of tire and with a tape measure from level to pavement. Should I use that size or what most of the websites post as the tires actual diameter?

Normally, I'd say actual measurements, but something isn't making sense here haha. So I'd go with the manufacturer measurements and work backwards from there. I think it'd be odd that they are that for off. 33.25 just seems super small for a 35x12.5x17. Website says you should be at about 34.76.

Would the fact that I’m running only 35psi. in the tires alter my measurements vs. what online states the size is?

I just enter close so my speedometer matches gps. Tazer will not effect or change what gear you are in and mileage. all you are doing is adjusting speedometer

With the Tazer you will need to go into the settings and change the tire size to what you are running on your Jeep. You will need to measure your tires actual measurement from floor to top of tire. With this measurement go into settings and apply the number closest to your actual tire size. For operation of the Tazer you can find this info at the Zautomotive site.

i understand the exact measuring part but I’m wondering if the tire gets that much taller at 60mph with only 35psi.?
If that makes any sense….

35 vs 37 psi won't make any difference at all. At least not a measurable one.

Ok. Well my actual measurement isn’t working great so I’m gonna try entering the manufactures numbers and go from there I guess.

Measure from the center of the wheel to the ground, and then double it. When using the phone to check accuracy, do not plug it into the USB port. That will provide a good starting point, but may take several tries to get it right.

Well last night I programmed as close to manufactures specs as I could. This morning I drove to work and the speedometer was RIGHT ON. I read a lot of forums and watched a lot of videos on the Tazer. It seems it’s 50/50. Half use actual measurements and the other half just enter what it says on the side of the tire. Whatever works I guess.

30yrs ago that would be true. But now automatic transmission shift points are controlled by the computer, and the computer factors in more than just engine load. It's looking at load, mph, rpm, accelerator pedal position, and 100 other variables. So "correcting the speedometer" on a Gladiator absolutely does effect shift points and mpg.
