Hey all, hopefully someone can help me out with some ideas. I recently purchased a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. Original owner bought 4x fuel hydro wheels (17x8.5r17 +1 offset) and put on 37" trail grapplers. I don't mind the wheels. Not my favorite but for the deal I got on the truck Ill gladly take them. Tires are Ok for me. We get snow here so would have preferred KO2s or XLT AT3s but again not a big deal. The spare tire was NOT replaced so it is the steel wheel with the 33in falkens. I want to have a full size spare and would prefer 5 tires to rotate them but Fuel has discontinued the hydro and I cannot find another one. I have not had many flats in my life, one sidewall issue from low profile tires and a pot hole. Mostly drive to and from work not a high risk of a flat. Once a year I drive 3 hours into the woods for hunt camp. I bulged the sidewall on this trip in a golf r but that was a 35 profile tire - not a difficult drive for a tire with 10in of sidewall.
I have looked and looked but i don't think I will find a another single wheel so my options are.
-Leave it as is and if I ever cannot repair a tire then put the 33 on the front right, use the tazer to TC Kill and disconnect the front axle using the FAD then drive home in 2wd.
-Change out all 5 wheels to what I like, and buy one more 37 and then 5 tire rotate
-Buy a new 37 and put on steel wheel then maybe never use it and dry rot the thing.
-Buy a used 37 (I found a pair set of them that are 5 years old for 300) put it on the steel wheel and maybe get another wheel for a 2nd spare for when I'm really deep in the woods.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
