Hi everyone! New owner and new to the forum. Just got a 2024 Gladiator Nighthawk in Anvil which I think is a nice color. For those who may not be familiar with the Nighthawk is is essentially a base Sport trim level with the following added:
, Teraflex 1" leveling kit, and so on, and so on!
Sport Suspension (no details on what exactly this is)
Sport Rear Shock Absorbers (again, what does sport mean on a truck?)
275/55R20 All–Terrain Tires
20–Inch x 8.0–Inch Painted Black Aluminum Wheels
Body–Color Freedom Top® 3–Piece Hard Top
Cab Rock Rails
Heavy–Duty Dana® 44 Wide Front Axle
Heavy–Duty Dana® 44 Wide Rear Axle
Trac–Lok® Anti–Spin Rear Differential
Premium Front Bumper with Gloss–Black Accents
Body–Color Fender Flares
Daytime Running Lamp System
Deep–Tint Sunscreen Windows
Power Windows with Front 1–Touch Down
Speed–Sensitive Power–Locks
Power–Heated Mirrors
Have been wanting a Gladiator for a few years and it finally made sense for me to take the plunge. Always thought I would get a Sport or Sport S with max tow (for the axles, 4.10 gears, Trac-Lok, and slightly wider fenders). The Nighthawk turned be such a good deal I bought it knowing it had the 3.73 gears. I have about 1000 miles on it now and love the way it drives. Of course I'm looking at all the upgrades and accessories I want to add. There is lots of threads on the Fox 2.0 performance series IFP shocks and I didn't want to make this tread number 10,000 on that subject lol. But I just bought a set at TireRack who seems to be closing them out for a really great price ($644.40 for the 4). My friend has a Rubicon and it definitely rides nicer than the Nighthawk (the 20" tires don't help here). I know there are tons of differences between a Rubicon and a Sport or Nighthawk and the Fox shocks I purchased are not identical to what comes on a Rubicon. I'm going to put the shocks on after the holidays and I'll let everyone know I like them then. Coming up next: Some Rubicon or Mojave 17 inch take offs with 285 series Falkens
