So, my wife and I owned a 2013 JKUR brand new off the lot for a few months and then she got pregnant and we traded in for something else. Never took it offroad or anything.
I later on had a 1999 Jeep Cherokee that I was working on to make a project offroad toy. That never went offroad either before I sold it.

This weekend I traded in a new to me 2018 Colorado ZR2 duramax that I had for like 3-4 months and had taken it off road 1 time. I am now the owner of a Gobi Sport S max tow.

So as you can see, I am fairly newb to the jeep world.
I did not see really an introduction or sticky area for people like me. Is there any area where I can read to learn about the basics of the gladiator or for newbs? Kind of like a "read these first" section??

Thanks, and I look forward to learning more. Have a little over 200 miles on it since Saturday.

I picked up a new JTR on Saturday as well. Haven’t seen any one place with lots of JT info but it’s all out there, albeit in different places.

Yeah i just figured a there was some stickies, or a start here section I am over looking somewhere. I find it odd that there is no new member intro section either. Most forums seem to have one.

this forum has a very different layout than I’m used to.

There is a search button to use for specific topics you might be interested in.
There's also a local section that you could introduce yourself in, but my area is quiet of discussion. Kind of like the first Jeep gathering where I had to go out and meet people. No one came to meet the only gladiator in the group.
Maybe there needs to be a new thread for new owners.

Welcome to the madness! The addiction is very real. Your wallet may be a lot lighter owning your JT. There are TONS of aftermarket options for nearly everything imaginable! Good luck! Post some pictures when you get a chance!

Appreciate it. Right now, it just looks like your run of the mill, standard Gobi Sport S. :)

CONGRATS on your new Gobi! Gobi is a hard color to get as you can't order one and it's not a 2021 color.

I've been on many vehicle forums over the years (this is my first Jeep) and you'll find this one is very informative and logically laid out. And most importantly, it's very busy...lot of information out there.

Here are a couple threads to get started...and like others have mentioned, Jeep Life is very addicting...ha :jk: :like::beer:

Facebook forums are more educational than here - but pls use the search feature. Newb questions are repeated 100s of times a day...but searching will get you loads of info.

Thank you for that.
I like a forum that is busy. Keeps me entertained with stuff to read.

I thought I was getting a pretty good deal, but the more I read, the more I probably could have waited to get a little better deal. I figured I was "OK" with what I finally got, and assumed I probably needed to snatch the Gobi before someone else did. Gator was my other color I wanted, but someone grabbed the one I was eyeing a day before.

I cringe every time I read a "how did I do?" post with regard to price. There are so many factors that come in play (region, time of year, time of the month, local taxes, dealer incentives, color availability, etc.). You got your truck in a great color and that's all that matters.

A nice feature on this forum is New Posts as I use it often. Even with the Gladiator only being a 2020 model, I have (thus far) always been able to find my needed information. Hit up New Posts, use the Search feature, and you'll be in good shape.

im new also with the same truck and color. I’ve had it for 3 weeks. I’ve been lurking on this forum for over a year and there is an overwhelming amount of information. Good luck and enjoy. I’m very happy with mine over the first 1200 miles
