I dont know where you are getting 1600 from... The switch's are 319 on on quadratec & then enabling is either the dealer for whatever they charge or a Tazer Mini @ 329 which if he changes tire sizes one of those 2 will likely be in the future anyway.
You said some people are asking $1,600, then you said if people ask closer to $1,000 they're easier to sell.

3) Local to me there is a new set on the facebook classifieds every few days. They seem to move really well if they are priced fairly. If you ask 1600 its going to take a while, but the sets priced closer to 1000 seem to move fairly quick (YMMV of course, thats just what I have noticed in my part of idaho).

For the stock Rubi tires/wheels.. Nothing at all to do with the switch's.

Edit: Look at the numbers OP posted & the correlating numbers I responded to.

You can see my confusion as you didn't specify in your comment... It went from 1 topic to the next without context... I thought you were saying people were selling pull-out AUX switch kits for that much... I was like WTF...

Makes sense now.

Indeed they do factoid...all the time.... Thanks for all the great info guys. If this works out I'll be busy it looks like.

I figured I might be able to get a dealer transfer but this one is close enough for me and a good price. Plus it doesn't have 5 or 6 k in stuff I'm not interested in

Another thought. I'm not a huge fan of decals on my vehicles. I've watched some vids and I recall pulling the 'chief's decals on my 83 DJ Cherokee right after I got it but that was a lifetime ago. Anyone remove their Rubicon decals?

They’re just vinyl. If in the sun for just a little bit you can gently pull up a corner and slowly peel them off. I did it with mine to include washing any residue and a bit of wax over the area. Took about a half hour.

Looking at it from a consumer perspective, when it comes to resale value, that would probably be like tossing a $1000 bill in the garbage can, or lighting it on fire. People who buy Rubicons, buy them for what they are, the way they are. That would probably decrease resale value by $1000, no joke...And would most-likely make it MUCH more difficult to sell. I'm sure it could be argued against, but I'd be willing to bet money it would get brought up in the sale, and negotiation of price, because it has become an iconic part of the Rubicon models.

Good point I guess. I never think about resale when I start with a vehicle

I am keeping the scrambler unless my daughter and wife let me give to my grandson who is 16. But if I decide I like the gladiator as a wheeler and he cant have still keep you in mind....
