Whelp, my 7" just went blank. Tried the battery reset and fuses so far. Haven't dug into the dash yet. Has anyone started an NHTSA filing on the 7" filing yet?

Has anyone heard any updates on this recall remedy? Filings said Q4 of this year but no movement with the holidays coming up has me skeptical. Only reason I care is my new gladiator is sitting on a lot due to the recall.

If you stack them over the years, it can seem like a lot. The reality though is that most will only see a couple maybe as usually the earlier recalls will have been fixed in later production when built to never be an issue.

Also, a recall does not necessarily mean the issue stated will happen, the recall fix is to negate the possibility of it happening.

Yeah I totally get that. I was somewhat considering getting a 2 door wrangler since 25 is supposedly the last year for them now. But considering so many, including myself, had some really crappy warranty work experiences, the potential for more recalls doesnt instill a lot of confidence.

Mine too. Went out Dec 21. Two days shy of 5 years old and only 20.5k miles.

It's only the 3.5" clusters. My 7"cluster is not affected (so far).

Not talking about the infotainment screen. The cluster is different depending on the trim package. My Rubicon has a 7" cluster.

My 7" screen went out Saturday Dec 21. 5 years old and only 20.5k miles. Now I have no fuel level, miles (of any kind), tire pressure, temperature, etc. You know the deal. Can't get it in to the dealer until January 9.

I sent my 7" cluster off to United Radio. They put a new screen in it and turned it around in less then a week. Cost me $210 plus the shipping to them. Not thrilled but seemed like a bargain. Very easy to work with if you are in this boat. Keeping my receipt in case Jeep reimburses me somewhere down the line.

I was finally able to file a complaint with Jeep today, and I also filed a complaint with NHSTA.

Might as well send it in to a place like United Radio as previously mentioned to get fix. Your dealer is going to charge you way more for labor and parts replacement than just getting it fixed yourself.

Yes same here last week and I filed a complaint with NHTSA.
