Mine is a ’24 Sport S without the technology package but doesn’t show up when I run the VIN at NHTSA. Their standard language regarding why an affected VIN might not appear, NHTSA says “keep checking”. That said, I’ve only owned it two months from new.

Just posted as well. According to the recall description, #30B 2018 -2024 JL - JT IPC. I understand the recall is voluntary? What does that mean? And does this affect jeeps as far back as 2018? Mine is a 2023 Sport built 7/2023. All the cluster lights seam to work fine. Is this something to look out for? Or is it happening in real time? Can someone just build a vehicle we can enjoy? lol
Safe travels everyone.

Sound to me its just something to look out for, but a short always has potential to start a fire.

"These clusters may experience an internal short circuit, causing the display to become blank, which violates the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 101, “Controls and Displays.” A blank IPC can divert the driver’s attention, potentially leading to a crash."

**Maybe an admin can move this to the proper thread, I put it in the wrong location.

That’s only 3% of the Gladiator population in south Florida, everyone else is safe 👍🏻
I think I’ll skip this one for now.

I have to admit, the idea of my local dealer taking apart my new dash is not very appealing.

I think at that point I'd just wire in a monster tach and call it good lol.

Yours may have had the in sequence change that addressed the issue.

So, if it's the smaller clusters as Cranbiz said it hasn't affected his 7' cluster then <knocks on wood> it won't affect my 8.5" system either...

Having taken mine apart personally, it is the single worst dashboard I have ever disassembled and I've done a few dozen different vehicles. Cheap doesn't begin to describe it, and I broke several of the stupid clips even taking great care with all the right tools. It was never the same after.

Knowing how I treat my own vehicles and how my fellow techs treated customer vehicles, I wouldn't let the dealership touch it until I had to. A dark cluster isn't going to make me crash and it's an excuse if you get pulled over.

Where did you get your 8.5” system from?
