New to the forum but not new to Jeeps. I’ve had a CJ7 that I wish I still had. Same with 2012 Wrangler. Solved my Jeep withdrawal by getting new to me 70k mile Gladiator sport with max tow.
Unfortunately, I’ll be posting in the oh my, it’s the 3.6misfire forum.

Sorry to hear that. It is not a horrible job. Unfortunately the parts are hard to come by. Some have had more luck just letting the dealer do it. They seem to horde the parts for their customers. Hopefully you get the misfire squared away so you may enjoy your new toy. Maybe your misfire is not even cam related!

P0303. I changed plug and coil. Was fine all day Sunday (still had the ESS offline), smooth no engine light. Started it Monday morning and rough idle and through the 303 code again.
Yesterday, I let it run for a bit, it smoothed out to normal and I could clear the misfire code.
No code this morning, just a little rough but it smoothed out again so I drove it to work no light (30 minute drive). Drove to lunch and got the code again but it smoothed out.
Long winded answer.

Did you use MOPAR OEM parts?
It may be a fuel injector that is causing this. you may want to run some fuel injector cleaner through it in a tank full of gas. Then see if that clears it up.

No, went with oreillys coil, they only had one option and it was Sunday. I will probably bite the bullet and replace all of them with OEM but I want to try some less expensive fixes first.
I will try some injector cleaner as it certainly won’t hurt and may try swapping #1 coil for 3 just to see what happens. Nothing is what I’d call easy to get to on this engine, still think it’s crazy you pull the intake to change plugs or coils on driver side.
