Tell you what. if you will send me the VIN, will CarFax it for you. If I don't get bombed, sent it to [email protected] or PM me. Provide a return email address. If there has been an insurance claim, it should show up as a flood vehicle.
@Jgaz4971, welcome to the board. You'll love your Gladiator.

Veteran Jeepers get a little salty when they feel the owner expects Jeeps to be mall crawlers. It doesn't sound like that's the case here, but that's the reason for the initial retorts.

I think it was a reasonable question and for me, I'd take Terry up on his offer (above) and have it checked out for peace of mind. If nothing, then it just means the previous owner enjoyed a little mud and you're good to go.

Thanks for the input. I did not buy the Gladiator as a dedicated off-roader. I bought it because I missed my TJ, needed a truck for outdoor activities. When I do go through mud, I always give my vehicles a healthy bath. I guess I should lower my expectations of how other people treat their things.

What’s a mall? ;)

Mud flies everywhere when offroad. It gets into places you would never expect. Same goes for sand. We take our JT to the beach often and I always wash it as soon as we get back and I'm still finding sand coming out of somewhere a week later. There are nooks and crannies for stuff to get stuck in under the Jeep. Sounds like the previous owner didn't care how the under part of the jeep looked, most of us don't. You're from ATL, we have the same clay here in NC. It's sticky stuff. I'm sure you will be fine. Scrapes, scratches, dents and dings on the axles, LCA's, skid plates etc... then I would be worried.

You don't need to sink it in the mud to get mud everywhere under it. Including up in all the little holes. If you have mud under your carpet, yeah, you may have an issue.....
