Does the reverse light provide any usable light, or is it more for general reverse indication? I'm assuming given the nature of the optic and where it would typically be aimed, the usable white light output is minimal.

Not that this is on my wish list, and if it was that wouldn't be a deal breaker. Just curious.

I do like the magnet for programming a lot. I have messed with many lights for emergency vehicles over the years and programming via wire isn't always ideal. Tank level lights that we install have moved to magnet programming and its very convenient.

Anyway - if I had a rack and $300 to toss on a light, this looks like a cool solution.

The white light provides usable light for backing up or for scene lighting behind the vehicle.

However, you could say that having the SS10 Chase Light mounted on a half-rack, compared to a full-height rack, might affect the intensity due to the location.

I like the versatility and the slim design. Being able to switch from 3rd brake light to amber chase light is attractive. I’d think the wiring would be a bear though.. Any diagrams you can post to show how this would integrate with multifunction use?

Fairly simple really. The brake light appears to be independent of the chase light, and I'm guessing reverse / white light must override the chase light since they are in the same location - or atleast that would seem like ideal operation...
