If Jeep does it, they have to publish the negative impact on towing, mpg etc if they donāt regear. If AEV does it, magically itās no longer Jeepās problemNo regear on 37,s but 4.56 on the wrangler xterme recon package makes no senseā¦wtf?
Diesel excluded.Anything with 37s on a Gladiator needs 4.88 gears. Not 4.11, 4.56, but 4.88. Jeep continues to screw things up. I'm open for work if they need someone with common sense.
You arenāt looking at it wrong. The spec sheets even states that. Crazy rightHas anyone noticed the JL Willy's has Rubicon fenders but the JT does not? Or am I looking at it wrong?
I guess it's time to rip the fenders off my sport to fit 37sYou arenāt looking at it wrong. The spec sheets even states that. Crazy right
Thisā¦.Why do I have a feeling the 2ā inch suspension kit will be a spacer liftā¦
Wow, thanks for sharing your states idiosyncrasies about lifts. An wow the big boost allotted just by a manufacturer adding new package or two. Just goes go shoe how peculiar the regs are. Works out for Gladiator owners real well.I live in Massachusetts (until I retire in 2 years) and most exciting part of it for me has nothing to do with buying one of these BUT its the specs. We have ridiculous lift laws which involve actual math formulas and the reliance of OEM equipment for legal standards. Let me explainā¦..maximum allowable mechanical lift for 4x4 vehicles is determined by wheel track x wheelbase divided by 2200. For the Gladiator, these numbers are 64.4 x 137.7 divided by 2200. This comes out to like 4.065 inches total mechanical lift for the gladiator. I have the Clayton 3.5 overland plus lift on my 21 Rubicon. (Legal)
The maximum allowable tire size is amount of allowable lift (4.065 inches) added to THE LARGEST TIRE FITTED TO THE VEHICLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER (previously 33ā on the Rubicon) now its 37ā so 39ās even 40ās on a Clayton 3.5 is legal and will pass state inspections.
