Newb: Does Discount Tire give you credit for basically brand new take off tires?

Just had DT swap over the new tires. Um, to dismount, remount and balance 4 tires…. $$300 ? WTF

Dang, My discount only charges $171, that's pretty steep. You maybe should of had the forum sponsor set it up for you.

I called mine in Concord NC earlier and they told me $171 counting taxes to mount them. I had them mount my Kanati on new wheels in April of last year and that's what they charged me to that as well. I've never been charged $300, did they add the warranty in on the tires?

$171 covers new TPMS when they mounted mine.

If you have questions on charges in the future, I’d ask the vendor before agreeing to the services and paying.

I mean if that is the honest price, so be it. But I’ve been here multiple times and purchased multiple sets of tires with their warranty Certs, and never charged this amount. ??‍. Time to do some digging lol

Why did you pay that amount at the point of sale and not ask your question at that time?

Not trying to be a douche here…I just don’t get why people wait until after a transaction is complete to dig into the invoice to see what they’re paying for. I.e. DT will give you a detailed breakout to see what you’re on the hook for ahead of time.

I agree but sometimes you get excited about getting it done and don't ask then it hits you about half way to the house.
