i was heavily considering the nextventure skids but man they're pricey,i was looking at the metalcloak skids but i know know next venture makes some awesome products,and seeing how good their stuff is in person just makes me really save up for their skid system instead with uhmw of course

And they’re here! They were so worth the wait. These are like armored jewelry. The gas tank skid has rubber bumpers to cushion any contact with the tank. Wow.

Installed! Lots of work. If you’re alone, give yourself a couple of days to wrap everything up. Doing it a second time, it would be much faster though. Can’t wait to glide them over some rocks.

The only drawback I could imagine with UHMW is that it could prove to bee too slippery in rare circumstances when a little bit of "bite" might save you and your vehicle from slipping off into something worse.
I used UHMW strips on boat trailer for years and they were incredible.

It’s possible, but I’m hoping the advantages will outweigh that rare possibility.

And now that I have seen them...

I’ve now used them on trails with high ratings of difficulty. They’re amazing. It was almost like not hitting anything. No more screeching and cringing.

Their diff skids are far and away awesome compared to others, full belly skid with removing the factory gas tank skid is the way I would like to go also.....Jack

Your belly skids might go out faster than my diff skids, but I mine took 14 weeks. The original estimates on their site was 8 to 10 weeks. Good luck either way.

I sent them email asking if it is truly five weeks. We will see. Although it seems five weeks goes by so quickly these days, it may not be an issue. I'm just hoping it comes before my vacation in early Sept.

I have their diff skids as well. They make aftermarket covers entirely unnecessary. They’re tanks.

I had early ones, so waited 6 months. Unbelievably, they’re so good it was worth the wait. Best belly skid on the market I think. They’re so smooth you don’t know you’re hitting anything. They add rubber cushions for the gas tank. It was like unpacking jewelry.
