Other than rebel off roads no drill slide mount, is anyone else using anything else other than ply wood? Really don’t want to drill in the bed if I don’t have too. I feel like I have seen some mixed opinions on their mount. Any suggestions?

Nothtin really to add except that I ordered one of the Rebel setups on the 4/10.
When I ordered it said "Availability:In Stock and Ready To Ship.".
I emailed them today asking when it was going to ship and they said in maybe two more weeks.
Not impresed with them so far at all. I should have just drilled and used some nutserts. Would have saved myself $300.

Best of luck!

I got one used from a forum member a couple years ago. I wanted to avoid drilling into the bed so I wouldn’t have to plug holes in case I wanted to change my bed set up later on. It is steel, and fairly heavy, but does its job. Since the slide mounting holes on the steel plate are for an ARB slide, I had to drill new holes on the mount itself to accommodate my IceCo slide.

The biggest downside aside from its price and weight (~25lbs, or half of my 35L fridge’s weight) is that its only solid attachment to the bed is its molle panel that bolts to the bed rails. Nothing is holding down the other sides of the steel plate besides gravity. Because of this and the fact that it is a two-piece construction (steel plate + molle panel bolted together), there’s a small amount of articulation/bending with strong upward forces. So big bumps at speed will make that opposite side get some air and slam back down on your bed. So if you go off road, I recommend using a fridge that will tolerate those kinds of sudden forces and strapping it down tight to your slide. And also don’t bring eggs; I’ve broken plenty of them from the slamming.

It has held up well and is in the same shape as when I got it, despite driving fast on rocky trails, since the steel is thick and robust. The rubber feet on the mount keep it from damaging my bed. For just tooling around town, you won’t get any slamming unless you like blasting through speed bumps and railroad tracks like I do. The powder coating is good quality and durable.

The only more secure way of mounting the fridge (without drilling into the bed just for your slide) that I can think of is using a bed plate, for which you would still need to drill into your bed to mount.

Hope this helps.

Probably not the solution you're looking for, but I made mine using uni-strut (from the electrical dept at Lowes/ Home Depot) and some pre-drilled angle. It's secured in the truck at the front to a piece of plywood bolted to the front bulkhead using the existing threaded holes. The tab hanging off the side in the rear bolts to the cargo loop by the tailgate. The slides themselves are repurposed from somewhere, probably an old toolbox. I don't remember where I got them. The fridge platform was made with more angle and some aluminum honeycomb panel I had, but thin plywood would have worked, too.
This works for me because I have a topper camper and everything is enclosed.

OP, this is the way.

The other downside of the rebel mount is that the way its molle panel is angled positions the slide plate about 6-8 inches away from the side of the bed, which eats up usable bed space.

a solution like this with two perpendicular points of attachment keeps it tucked right next to the side wall of the bed. I bet this also allows for much less unwanted movement of the entire system

First, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Been very busy lately with work, the kids, sports and such. I finally started catching up on some jeep projects. I appreciate all your guys replies. I was going to finally try to mount the slide today. I did decide I’m just going to drill in the bed and use riv nuts. However, my slide is a little smaller then where the raised ridges are in the bed based on where the predrilled holes are from iceco. I want to drill into the raised ridges vs the lower points. So my question is would you guys just drill new holes in the cross bar on the frame of the slide where I am pointing? And with the little bit of overhang from the edge of the slide, would you guys think the slide would be fine where I want to mount it. I only want to have to do this once and not have holes through out my bed haha. I appreciate the input.
