Bump it up...

Refreshing an older thread here but to the OP's original ask about the Rebel Off-Road fridge mount... it's WORTH it! I wish I would have bought this originally before drilling holes in my bed. I mounted my ARB 63qt on a pair of Accuride sliders that are attached to the Xplor fridge base plate. I had to go with this slightly custom setup due to height restrictions and wanting to use my Lite Rider soft cover. The dedicated ARB 63qt slide would sit too tall with Rebel Off Road fridge mount plate if I wanted to use the soft cover.

As it sits and slides right now, here's the how-to...
1) ARB 63qt fridge attached to the ARB Fridge Solid Mount Kit #10900039
2) Solid Mount Kit attached to Accuride sliders
3) Accuride sliders attached to Xplor fridge mount plate
4) Removed the (2) round aluminum support bars from under the Lite Rider soft cover

The fridge sits just slightly lower than the soft cover but in order to slide it out you have to pop the lip of the cover to provide clearance. If you wanted to shave off roughly 1/4" - 1/2" of the rubber mounting feet of the base plate I bet you could get the fridge low enough to use the round support bars again... which I see no need for as the cover does not flap or show any signs of sagging. I personally like them removed as it also makes rolling and manipulating the cover between the vertical center cross braces of the rack much easier. I guess if you stacked objects on top of the soft cover often you'd want them?

I'm sure a majority of you all are not running this setup but it's still a glowing recommendation for the Rebel Off Road fridge mount as it's a no drill / (2) bolt removal option to maintain the functionality of your truck bed.

Very nice setup! Do you remember which Accuride slides you used?

How are the slides holding up, being mounted in a horizontal configuration like that under the fridge, rather than vertically on the side of the fridge?

Hey Rob,
Thanks! I believe they are the 26" slides... I will PM you.

They are holding up fine and I occasionally wash them down to keep the bearings from getting too gritty. I forget the horizontal load rating but it's definitely 50-60% less than vertical positioning.

Yes wondering what specific slides you got. Thank you in advance. This is exactly what I want to do in my bed. Thank you for all of the detailed pics.

Hi,
It's simply a Blue Sea Below Deck panel. It's mounted to a piece of "custom" bent aluminum and drilled into my Literider side bar that the cover velcro's to.

Hey there,
They are Accuride 26in slides. Sorry I don't have part numbers. Any 26" slider mounting horizontally will work.

It will not.

The battery pack I have is similar to the goalzero 400. It's made by Rockpals and has been working pretty well.

I have tried dry ice but it's still not as good as the fridge.
Best bet for coolers is actually to use two. Keep one closed as much as possible with food and another for beverages.
Another problem is you have a harder time resuppling. Even with dry ice taking grocery store pickups that don't start out frozen will use most of the energy to cool it down.

It can be done. But I love my fridge as the planning is easier and never needing ice is awesome. It's so cold up here currently I'm actually going to go poor 4 or 5 gallons of water in there and leave the lid cracked so that freezes before heading south. Keeping beverages cold is better to let them hang in cold water. Food needs to be dryer.

I got by for years on a cooler and smart packing. But now... I'll never go back.
What cap is that? Nice setup. Seems everyone is using the Rebel Offroad bedrail fridge mount and a slide, I'm guessing most slides would work.

Rebel Offroad bedrail fridge mount sucks! Unless I mounted it wrong.

The back inside edge lifts every time you slide the fridge out.

That's no good! I don't have the bed rails either, so that's an added cost I'd need to make it work, which I'm not super happy about

I am not using a slide because I need to use the bed, but, we love having the Engel and the bluetti lifepo4 battery. It is mostly in the bed full-time.. They have proven bullet proof on some very tough trails.

Note: I am now using a set of jumper cables in a bag as a cushion between the maxtrax and the Engel.
Note2: The metal Engel does dent and scratch easily... So, you have to get over that right away. Stickers and magnets help hide the scratches and dents.

Question, because I can't quite tell from your pics...could you slide the Rebel Offroad mount back along the rail so that the fridge sits closer to the cab, or would the wheel well interfere with the bracket? I'm not concerned with being able to extend the slide out past the tailgate, but rather looking for a platform for the fridge that doesn't require bolting through the floor.
