My experience (in Las Vegas) - men wave or wave back most of the time. Women, not at all - not once have I got a wave or wave back from a woman driver.

I know I am overthinking this, but the dynamics of the wave kinda fascinate me. I do consistently get waves in the normal scenario like head-on passing on the road. Waves don‘t seem to happen heading in the same direction or crossing across an intersection. I haven’t seen waves sitting at a stop light for example. The % drops significantly when not passing face to face. Is it only passing on the road? I mean, I’ll keep waving but does someone have a chart?
Always has been that way since I started in 1972! We didn't wave in Vietnam the few times I was in a Jeep;-))

In Charleston SC, when I drive the JT I hardly get waves. when I drive the TJ, I always get waves
Funny as I consider the JT much more Jeep than my JK but not so much the CJ's and TJ I had-More Original I Guess!

Hello all. When I started riding Harleys in the 80s everyone nearly everyone waved. Early 80s there were maybe 80k ppl at Daytona Bike Week. Now 500k. We finally got to where we couldn't wave to everybody...lol. Dors anyone think that possibly there are just so many more Jeeps. I try to Wave to everyone and when I do,t my girlfriend reminds me...lol. Sometimes I just don't catch them all...cheers

I cant believe this thread is still going.
I took a few trips recently. One was up to Indiana, tons of waves, everyone in jeeps was awesome. Went to Columbus today, no ways, not even from the lifted guys. Even had another gladiator in the lane next to me she wouldnt even look over. O_o

New Gladiator owner, second jeep, relatively new to the jeep family. I wave at all jeeps I see. Don't care if they wave back I like being friendly. Guy I work with tried to tell me that only wrangler jeeps deserve the wave as they are the only REAL jeeps. I told him that I wasn't an elitist douche and would wave at all:)

North Florida the wave is hit and miss.
Old guy with a CJ told me last week he really liked my truck but also any thing with a JEEP emblem and more than 2 doors isn't really a Jeep. He was nice so I let him live

I’ve been wondering if the Wrangler wave is different than the Gladiator wave. I had an XJ for 15 years and no one waved at me, but about 95% of Wranglers and Gladiators wave.
