You are correct. But new Smart cars are only EVs.

After seeing one in Miami sandwiched between a truck the stopped short and a car that did not, I decided they are not that “Smart” of a choice as a DD vehicle.

But damn that thing is cute!!! I told my wife years ago that I was going to buy one and hang it off the back of my big Ford Super Duty instead of a spare just for fun

Now, is that a freaking tow hit hitch on the back?!?!? What the hell is he towing???

MB quit selling the Smart Car in 2019 in this country. All of them were gas. The new ones are a joint venture between MB and Chinese auto maker Greely. Not sold in the USA.

We rented one a couple of years back in Ocean City Md. We had a blast in that car for a week.

Funny thing is I saw my first lifted Smart car last weekend. Got past me before I could take a pic, but it looked just like that one. A very cool idea indeed. But I have to admit every time I see one or a Scion IQ I just stop and.......
