Ford did the same crap when they brought out the GT40 both times.
Never understood this penchant for limited runs and restricting who can buy crap. If the demand is there, make a bazillion of them.

I can see this actually happening.

When I was in 6th grade, I came back into the classroom from recess with a large red rubber kickball in my hands. One of my classmates about 10-15 feet away was holding one of those old school large world globes, the kind that can be taken off the mount and handled. This classmate of mine thought it would be funny to throw this globe at me thinking I would drop my rubber kickball and catch the globe. Rather, as the globe was hurling towards me, I put the rubber kickball up to block the globe from hitting me. The globe bounced off the rubber ball and in a prefect example of Newton's Third Law, the globe hit my classmate square in his open mouth and knocked two teeth out.

That was not the end of the story, the classmate fell back and hit the back of his head on a counter top. I went over to check on him and he was still conscious and as I tried to help him get up, he looses footing and falls forward hitting the front of his head on a desk.

This is about when the teacher walks back into the classroom and just sees me towering over my pretty much knocked out classmate and she starts to shriek like I just beat the shit out of my classmate. I tried to explain what happened but of course it fell on deaf ears. Spent the remainder of the day in the principles office thinking I was going to get expelled, but luckily a couple of other students seen it play out and backed my story up.

In high school, my senior year. At lunch time. Me and another kid decided to start throwing punches at each other in front of the principal's office door. Which was wide open. The only thing he did was to pick up the phone and call the assistant principal. He came out and grabbed both of us. Thinking this is it. I'm done. He takes down to the gym. Makes us put boxing gloves on. And makes us box in front of the boy's and the girl's gym classes that was going on. I handed Del's ass to him. He was no boxer. I had a friend that was a Golden Gloves boxer and I used to spar with him when ever I needed my ass kicked.
