I'm preparing to install a pair of OEM LED headlamps on my 2020 Sport S. I read multiple threads but just want to confirm I have my parts list correct for the swap. I understand the 2020 has 3 pins on both sides so I will need the wiring harness 68414409AB. To confirm - I'll need (2) of these - one for each light, correct? Dumb question, I know - but doesn't appear they pigtail to one another so want to be sure.

Also, looking at the parts diagram and photo of the part on this thread it appears the wiring on the harness is only 1' long. Is there another wire (maybe 68347117AB or 68350767AE) required to reach the BCM to make the connection?

And lastly, from what I've read, one has the option to connect directly to the fuse (heated seat or cigarette lighter) instead of wiring to the BCM. If this is correct, would only the wiring harness 68414409AB (two of them, I'm assuming) and a fuse tap such as this be needed?

Thanks in advance for the guidance - I got to the point in my forum research where I read too many threads and need a hard reboot!

Hi,
For 18-20 models you need to run wiring to the BCM. The only way to get this wiring is to purchase the 82219141AA kit. The reason why we offer this kit + the jumper 68414409AB all in one here https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82215136ad.html is because we found some models required it as well.

The part # of the BCM harness that is in the 822 kit is 68347117AB but this has been discontinued and cannot be ordered alone. You may get lucky searching it online as its not needed on 2021 and later vehicles.

The above info is how its setup from the factory, I am sure there are alternate ways of hot wiring the halos to get them to function.

Thanks for the quick reply, Benny. Since I am already in possession of the OEM headlights, do I just need the 68414409AB Jumper Harness? Do you carry those separate from the kit? Assuming I would need two for the 2020 Sport, correct? Thanks again

Yes they are available separately, Technically only 1 is used per vehicle as per our parts data. There is a small jumper that you will be replacing with this one. You can probably take the pins out of the old jumper to add onto the drivers side.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,

Wow that is really cool that you can ask Mopar parts a question and get a very helpful answer. Makes me even more glad I bought a Gladiator instead of a Subaru.

I agree! Benny also sent me a DM to chat through a solution in more detail. Great community of members and vendors here.

Can I get advice for the advantages of high quality LED replacements. Or the advantages of using the MOPAR kits to convert from the horrible stock halogen headlights in my 2024 Sport S. In my last two trucks, 2016 Z71
4x4 V6, projector headlights then 2019 Colorado WT 4x4 V6 with reflector headlights. I used MORIMOTO TWO STROKE replacements, in both low and high beams that turned any dark road to day across 4 lanes as far as I could see. With no trouble or codes.

Hi Kevin,

The LED hedlamps outperform the halogens 3-4x over. See this thread here for real user feedback https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/headlight-comparison-halogen-vs-led.72212/

I cant really comment on the Jeep/Mopar LED lamps VS the aftermarket when it comes to pricing and performance but if you would like more info on the Jeep/Mopar offerings let me know.

Thanks,
- Benny
