Oil Changes

So I used my last free oil change today an inquired about the price of the oil change package at my dealership. So it's like $115 for a tire rotation and oil change at the dealership. They don't do a six oil change package anymore like I had when I purchased mine. But they do got a three oil change and tire rotation package for $175. That's a deal if you ask and I'm not sure how they're able to price it that cheap but that's what I paid for it. I actually bought two of them so six more oil changes and tire rotations for $350 that's a bargain. What's y'all's thoughts on it. I got zero time to spend on mine so 45 minutes on a lunch break at work for me and not having to handle 37's, yeah I'll pay $175 for the dealership to do that and change my oil 3 times.

That is about $58 a service visit for oil change and tire rotation. They are losing money somewhere on that, so expect upsells every time you take it in. They may be using a jobber off brand oil filter and not a MOPAR one.

Only you will know and be the arbitrator to settle if it is a good value in the long run. That assumes they do it correctly each time.

They have been servicing my vehicles for over 20 years with no issues. They serviced all 7 BMWs we have owned and all 10 jeeps over the years. Not sure what they will up sale, it's in the system that I got 6 more to get done. They don't ever try to get me do any service work other than what I ask for. It's Hendricks in Concord NC. They in my opinion have the best service dept within a 2hr drive from me at least.

@Hootbro I always around outside the bay and talk to the guys most of time unless I just drop it off, unless they put a non Mopar filter in a Mopar box it was a Mopar filter. I always box my appointments with the same guy.

Yeah I ain't never priced it out but honestly I'd pay someone $60 alone to just rotate these 37's so when he told me the price I told him I'd pay some that just do the rotation.

Do not take offense to my first reply. It was based solely on what you first posted with no knowledge of your relationship and experience with the dealership.

I still stand by the $58 dollar comment that they are loosing money on it. So they must be expecting to make it up down the road and your positive experience and loyalty may be where that factors in.

So yeah, that is a killer deal as it stands and would take it myself if I had the same trust in them as you do.

No offense taken. He quoted me $350 to do the plugs when I got a quote on that which was about $150 cheaper than any other dealership in my area. Yeah he said that they allow them to bill the difference back to the factory, not sure how all that works out but I'm paying what I'm paying and that's what matters to me.

Yeah stay on top of them, I won't let that dealership touch a bicycle I own at this point. They are the biggest bunch of jackasses I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with - both sales and service. Most recent debacle with them was that they extremely overfilled my TRX after it's first service (like more than a full quart over), not to mention got oil and handprints all over the front of the truck. And of course didn't have the decency to return my calls. So yeah, keep an eye on them and always double check whatever you are having them service, especially if they aren't making a lot of money on it.

I deal with the one in Concord NC every time. The dealership in my area I'd avoid at all cost is Lake Norman CDJR, those people over there should be out of business for as much getting over on customers they do

I truly am glad you have had such good experience with them, I gave them 3 chances on the sales side and I am forever done with them. I'd walk before considering buying a car through them. And after the service debacle on a 100K truck, never again there also. I too agree about Lake Norman store, and they just bought out Gastonia CDJR over near me, so that store is not about to get any better than it was I'm sure.

I always deal with same people who have been there 10-20 years, same dude I deal with for our fleet stuff at work. He's never done me wrong even when the wife and I had a major problem with our 2010 Grand Cherokee. He suggested the buy back on it before I did and heavily discounted the BMW we bought to make it right..
