I noticed a bit of oil on the engine cover. I honestly don’t know if it’s spillage from changing oil or not but only noticed because of all the salt and grime build up. Could I have a leak or was a sloppy on an oil change. I didn’t notice it anywhere else nearby.

I'd go with spill during an oil change. There is nothing on that side of the engine to leak like that. Clean it up, note oil level and see if it comes back.

Clean with brake clean and see if it comes back, if it does, I would be looking at the alternator clutch, but if that should have slung oil on passenger side valve cover also
