I couldn’t tell if the engine stalled? He said it was sputtering…..
He’s lucky it didn’t stall out and he didn’t try to start it. That’d be a bad day!

It’s sad to see people destroy a nice ride by being dumb
That’s all in the eyes of the beholder/owner. Dumb to you….isn’t dumb to someone else. Some folks know the risks and aren’t afraid to live with the circumstances. You know those ā€˜types’ who aren’t afraid of a damn thing.
Others don’t know anything about the risks and aren’t able to make smarter decisions when you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.

New to Jeeps or offroading?? Most folks want to go blasting thru the mud. It’s fun as hell!! I remember doing it in my 96 Tacoma (3 years old at the time).

My husband and I have pulled many folks out of mud holes. We’ve had many hydrolocked rigs….helped revive many…. Most were saved. One guy, his Tacoma was totaled. Luckily, his insurance covered it (or so, that’s what he told us).

I just wish more people wouldn’t go offroading ā€˜alone’….. at a minimum, have another vehicle with you.

I can understand taking a beater or something that is built to tear up in mud, hill climbing or trail riding. But a new 60 thousand dollar rig that you still owe 60 thousand dollars on.
Just dumb to me.
And yes. I’ve had jeeps since 1978 and a few jacked up 4 wheel drive trucks.
