Ok folks, I did this on the front windows on my wife’s JL & improved it on my JT. I added one-touch functionality to the front window up and rear window down/up using DEI 535T window modules, it takes two of them. I did a ton of research and was able to find the male/female plugs to be able to build a harness to splice wires into as to not cut the factory wires. Very plug & play to a degree. The rest was just wiring the 535’s per the manual into the new harnesses I built
Note: The rear windows must be done in the center console at the rear window switch. There are 10 wires, pwr, grd, 4 from the front master switch and 4 for the rear switch. You only tap the 4 for the rear switch not the ones that come from the master. This does allow the one-touch functionality at either switch! When the master switch has the rear lock-out engaged, the one-touch still works at the master switch.

Front switch harness kits:
5013961AA & 5013965AA
Rear switch harness kits:
5013958AA & 5017114AA (I did have to trim the 958AA a bit on the top to plug in)

These modules have a built in feature which will cause the windows to roll-up when the vehicle is turned off or locked. Experimenting, I connected the Brown Siren Trigger input on the modules to the ignition aux wire in the passenger kickpanel. I set the dipswitch on the modules to (-) input and when the vehicle is off the aux wire goes to ground and the module triggers the windows to roll up. Pretty neat but keep in mind you will never be able to leave the windows cracked plus the roll-up feature happens pretty quick once the car turns off. I am going to try it like that for now to see if I like it. Another option may be to tap the hood switch assuming it energizes or goes to ground only when the lock signal is received from the remote this may the roll-up is delayed a bit...See pics below:

What if you tapped into an aux switch to do the auto roll-up? Would give you time to do shut down without worrying about them closing until you were ready.

I had wondered about a switch that would control whether or not they would roll up with shut down - sometimes it's hot and you want to leave 'em down, so you hit a switch and disconnect that sense - or hit the switch again and next shut down the windows go up.
I like where this is going.

My only problem is I don't have the aux switches - didn't get them ordered........... then later decided I wanted them. Too late.

I’ve often wondered why Jeep had one touch down but not up. My Ram that I had 8 years ago had down and up on the front windows. I had kinda hoped that Jeep would have updated the lack function when they did the redesign a couple years ago. Not too concerned about back windows having auto function put having it on the front windows is pretty commonplace now a days.

What was the total cost on this? I'm also a big fan of making harnesses adapters instead of hacking up the factory wiring. Also, do you have a wiring diagram for the connector pinouts?

I would have paid extra to delete the one-touch-down on the front windows. 90 percent of the time I only want the window down part way. Interesting someone likes it that much. I find it an inconvenience when it triggers.

Love it - especially at drive-troughs of any type, the post office, and other places, like pulling up to the mail boxes at the road in front of the house. We've learned to tweak 'em, I guess. We've had them for years - my Silverado had the auto-down, but not auto-up, my wife's last two GCs have had auto-down and auto-up and she's always bugging me about why my trucks never have the good windows that auto-up, too.
I guess since we've had them for at least 9 years now on several vehicles, all of them down, some auto-up as well, we expect it now and don't like having to hold the button.
My wife would love it if I converted to auto-up in the JT.

I have so much going on in my shop now I might even consider paying fonzie to make harness adapters. Normally I do all of that stuff - but I was told last week to expect a fair sized load of parts to come back with me to restore in a couple of weeks and two guys have said now that any cars they restore, they will be sending me all of the electrical items to restore.

I suspect there would be a sizable group that would be interested in premade harnesses... @fonzie should take notice!

All in was about $250, give or take. The harnesses are not easily obtained so I had to go thru amazon, ebay, etc... Wanted to see pics of what I was getting cuz found that part numbers advertised were not 100% accurate at times... I used this site for the pinouts: http://connectors.dcctools.com/home.htm Very helpful!!! Has pretty much every plug info!!!

There are only a handful of connections that can be pre made, the rest you must make when installing...Since you have to run wires thru the dash etc... a premade harness is hard I think... I am happy to provide info if anyone wanted it. Not to bad even for a novice but should be comfortable splicing wires!

you would think that someone like Quadratec or another large Jeep accessory company would just come out with a replacement window switch with relay that would accomplish auto and auto down. as someone mentioned i agree auto up is better then auto down, so is there a way to reverse the operation to the switches or windows that accomplish that?

Did this get resolved with the 2022 model year?
Going to have to order some parts if not.

No company can do that knowing that there is no sensor in the vehicle the system is going into.
Auto-reverse sensors are required by law in the United States for vehicles with auto/one-touch-up windows remotely controlled.

So far at least 25 kids have died, and there have been countless injuries due to windows being rolled up and the motor having no sensor to reverse it in case of resistance going up.
So, for a company to advertise auto-up for a specific vehicle that has no such sensors, if anyone is hurt, they may be liable. Doubtful too many would risk that.
Doing it on your own is one thing - but if you sell the vehicle and the next owner's child is injured, or the next owner is injured, who the heck knows. I'd suggest disclosing the feature has no safeties if selling a vehicle that's been modified since people may assume - because it's required by law on vehicles that come with auto-up.
