Hello. Paralysis by analysis. That is me! Currently have Rubicon with backflip trifold cover. Love the way the back flip performs and looks, prefer to keep it on all the time. I would also like to add a a full rack to haul two mountain bikes and two kayaks while pulling our 19’ Geo Pro On camping trips. I would prefer a rack that will allow me to keep the back flip installed., but if need be it is easy enough to remove for the trip. I have the builtright trail rail system. Price (within reason) is not a factor In my decision. I like the look of the XPLOR bed rack but not sure if it’s the best fit for my needs.
I guess here are my dicison points. #1 something made in the USA. #2 Haul 2 mountain bikes and kayaks securely. #3. works with existing backflip cover. #4 easy removal the 90% of the time it’s not in use. #5. Option for hauling other items like lumber, etc if needed. Thanks in advance for any comments.

if you're for sure wanting to haul the yaks above the roofline, I'd think a full height rack or cap that you leave on 24/7 would be the best bet, not really sure there's any that are quick to remove unless you're good pulling out a handful of bolts and have an extra set of burly hands to help you remove or install it as needed. With the yaks on the top of the bed rack you can haul the bikes on the truck hitch with any hitch rack you prefer. Where you'll likely run into issues is when you're hauling all 3 (camper, bikes, kayak); for that situation I'd probably look into mounting the yaks or bikes (or both) to the camper itself and free up your truck for more payload/storage space. If you install a hitch receiver on your camper you could just transfer your bike rack easily to the camper when you pull that and leave the yaks on your bed rack.

I'm in process of making some custom bed rail mounts that work with my hard tri-fold (similar to kb voodoo but more flexible) since I also love having my hard tri fold but want to haul my bikes above the bed tri fold cover.

I’m in the same boat. Or kayak!
I flat tow gladiator behind motor home. I’m a big guy so I got a big kayak. Truck bed extender is too long.
I built mine out of 2in schedule 40 pvc to haul kayak on top wife and daughters in the bed and bikes on the hitch.

here’s a couple of pics of my rack and easy loader.
top corners of rack have open fitting that I can slide a length of pipe with a 60* fitting in to use as a slide to get the yak up there without hitting paint.

Rack is made of pvc so it’s light, 3 ratchet straps hold it in bed, can leave on or take off in less than 5 mins by myself.

If you have a hard top, use a roof rack and kayak carriers. Bikes could be carried in the camper, or in the Gladiator bed.

Rebel Offroad has your rack. It is full height so kayaks will fit on top. They make bicycle mounts that fit on the outside of the rack on each side. The bikes are high and close to the rack. This leaves you an empty bed for gear, and your hitch open for towing. The only thing you will need to change is your tonneau cover. The access literider will work and you can get it from Rebel Offroad as well. I run this system and it works great.

Rebel off road as mentioned or JCR.

I decided a utility trailer was best use for hauling stuff that my rack and hard bed cover can’t.

I can carry most everything with my set up and all is locked in bed. I just need to build my drawer system. Carrying bikes side ways on hard bed cover with Yakima racks is easy and one Yakima rail mounted bar leaves plenty of room for 3-4 bikes and up to 4 kayaks or two kayaks and my 7’ Yakima sky box.

Originally tried side mounts before I saw JCR and Rebel’s. Then decided on sideways bed mount. Bikes are safer there IMOP

LSt picture is JCR’s rack. Very nice!

I ended up going with the Rebel Off road full height rack and lite rider cover. I’ll try and post some pictures soon.
