I am wanting to order a Gladiator Sport S and the dealer is telling me that they will go $750 under invoice. Then if there are any Jeep discounts when it is delivered I will get them also. Does this make sense and is it a good deal? I keep my Jeeps for ever and want to order exactly what I want and there are not many Sport S in all of Arizona right now and none that even come close to what I want to order. Thanks for your thoughts.

This is the internet, the Wild West of dry erase boards, where anyone walking by can post their response and thoughts - so be prepared for varying answers.

My advice - compare shop and ask yourself: what are you willing to pay for exactly what you want? To me, THAT is your answer.

I think it matters how far your willing to travel for it, how much that travel costs and how that affects the deal.

There are plenty of better deals being advertised on this site (6-8% off invoice) but you’d have to travel for it and that may not be something that’s worth it for you.

Thanks for your responses. It might be a roll of the dice to see if employee pricing will be continued for 6-10 weeks after I order it. It seems like it has been going on since April 2020. I see there is a dealer in ID that can get every one a great deal but I hate to save $1500 and spend $1600 shipping it.

Thank you for your help. It looks like the tread lightly discount is going away in early January, 1/4/2021. Found a good deal with a close local dealer and they are under invoice and will ask about the tread lightly but I think it is applied when the Jeep is delivered. Dont think I will be as lucky as the member who got there Jeep delivered in a few weeks. I will post the build sheet when I get it to the forum page on ordering.

One other thing I have noticed is the difference in sales tax, the towns vary a little but the county tax is where it is a big difference. The rates around Phoenix are from 7.8% to 9.45%. That is $825 difference on a $50,000 Jeep.

I printed out the tread lightly coupon on 12/14/2020 and it says it is good though 1/2/2021. I just checked the dates. They should be good for 60 days. I am hopping that FCA extends it but I can not find anything out about it.

I got it ordered tonight. What a great experience and a lot of fun at the dealer. He made sure everything that I wanted was on the order and worked out a great price. The bad thing is he thinks the plant is shutting down on Friday for two weeks for Christmas and there are some roomers that it might not open back up for awhile because of Covid. I hope to have a vin my Friday and then my wait begins. That should be me time to figure out a plan for the build.

Who did you end up ordering from? Might help others in the same area looking for a good deal.
