Hey guys, new to the group so I apologize if this has been covered somewhere already. But I would like to add a power supply to my Aux Switch under the hood that I can plug Christmas lights into. I have searched for wire harnesses with an outlet but have come up empty. Any suggestions?

Will that allow me to utilize an aux switch to control power to it?

Are you looking for a 12V lighter plug? If so, then you can simply buy an Amazon 12V extension and cut off the plug end. Wire the socket end into the relay box.

Something like this will work.
https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Lighter-Extension-Cord-Lights16AWG/dp/B08MZJSR97/ref=sr_1_4?crid=4DLTKL0JECQE&keywords=12v+extension+cord+with+cigarette+lighter+plug&qid=1700235042&sprefix=12v+exten,aps,155&sr=8-4&th=1
Yup. That'll do. I you can order just one end or the other, too. I have a 12v male end on my list.

OP - Cut the wires, connect them to the AUX wires under the hood - you have to look for them on the passenger side by the battery; they're bundled together.

Once connected to the AUX wires under the hood, they'll turn on with the AUX switches in the cab.

Speaking of Christmas lights... we ran some last year, I think it was a 60' LED strand that plugged in the back of the center console. Despite being "outdoor" lights, they rusted.

Wife just ordered a USB-powered 30' strand off AMZN. My JTR didn't come with the bed plug, I added my own - two 12V, one USB, and one power indicator plug. It's run by a switch pod inside the cab.

I did the exact same thing two years ago to power a wreath I have for my grill. I used these and they work great!

Do you mind sharing how you wired it and to what type of outlet?

The wreath I have had a standard 12v cigarette lighter end on it. It has two wires, red and black. I cut the 12v end off. I then used a pair of waterproof heat-shrinkable butt connectors and attached one of the 2-pin terminal connectors I bought from Amazon onto the wreath's wires (matching red to red and black to black). I attached the opposite end of the 2-pin terminal connector to one of my factory aux switch wires (if your Jeep has them, they're found under the hood along the edge between the battery and air cleaner box). I posted a link to the 2-pin connectors in my first comment. Here's a pic that may better demonstrate what I did.

I forgot to mention - I got the 12v outlet on Amazon and made the mounting bracket for it. It was sort of an after-thought after running the wire from the wreath all the way back in the gap between cowl and fender, and in through the passenger front door to a 12v outlet inside. I thought that's a crock to do every time - so decided to keep it cleaner and easier plus I can plug in a 12v trouble light if I ever need to see in the engine bay in the dark.
