Hey Doc Mike- I’m in Denver and I had seen this too. Rubi takeoffs over $250 and stock wheels/tires over $500 or so I find pretty funny. Maybe I dont know the market, but I grabbed Rubi take-offs with new tires for $600, Rubi suspension for $200 and sold my old stock silvers wheels and meats with 70 miles for $400.

Wow, so earnest. To be fair it's probably cheaper than buying them over the parts counter.

It is a very well framed and staged photo though.

Rubicon take off wheels and tires sell around here for $1000 or so. I split mine up and sold the tires for $700 in less than a day and sold the wheels for around $125 each for people to rotate 5. As for suspension. I’m about to list my takeoff stuff on Marketplace and I’m guessing it’ll sell for $400 pretty easily with a Teraflex spacer kit included.

Realistically you can’t buy 3 decent shocks for that much. It’s a pretty cheap 2” lift or so for the non rubicon crowd.

My rubi suspension take offs were advertised at $300 but I only paid $250. The firmer ride with the rubi shocks and springs are more to my liking. Also, these shocks won't rust like my jk rubi shocks did after 40k miles.

At nearly a grand I would much rather shell out the extra cash for the Mopar 2" suspension.

For that price I expect some snapchat filters.

I guess my big gripe is...check what the market for the parts will support and price accordingly. I used to look at CL and price my stuff like $20 below everyone else and it moves quick.

I usually post things on CL to get them gone and it's weird when people try to haggle you down from "free to a good home":

Can you deliver? Only if you're paying.
Is it still available? Yeah it's still at the curb, better beat the scrappers.
Can you hold it? It's free, how much time do you need to save free dollars?
Can you do any better? Pay you?

I have a complete brake job for the wife's old car sitting on the garage floor and it fits any car in the model run with the all wheel drive and the sport options, pretty clear right? Will it fit my -obviously different model-? Why is it so cheap? Do you really want to know the whole story about frustrating dealer service techs, no thought not... I love the low ball offer "Hey it's been sitting for a while, how about -insultingly low counter offer-? Sorry, I'll give them to my buddy who needs the scrap more than I need to be spit on. Honestly I want basically what Rock Auto charged me with some accomodation for them being quasi used. A freaking deal! But oh no, chuckle heads gotta chuckle right?

He’s nuts or is looking for a very uninformed buyer. $1000 is a good chunk of the way to a quality inclusive kit.
