Picked up the AAL overhead Molle panel and wanted to put a switch panel up there since the other locations I wasn’t too keen on. Plus I like tactile switches and wanted some other things with it. Plus bored at work so why not put my ADHD to good use lol I’m using 12mm latching buttons and a volt meter and a dual usb charge port. I played with the angles a lot to keep it as tight and smallest size possible while still being able to reach. Just need to finish painting it and then decide how to run the wires into the engine bay to the relay board I’ve got setup for it.

Nice setup! I've always wanted to make my own custom panel like that. I was going to wire up temp sensors, an angle meter and some other sensors. I never got around to it but I still kind of want to do it.

I’m thinking of what else I can add to this. Kinda thinking some MAP lights or something similar to that.

It may sound crazy but the interior lighting on the overhead molle panel was one of my favorite things about the Gobi392 build I bought from AAL. A simple push button turns on two bright red leds that are blocked from your eyes by simple L brackets but illuminate the whole interior front seats... I'm honestly surprised AAL doesn't sell this as an add-on to their overhead molle platform.

This is the best pic I could find of it. If you look closely you can see the bracket and button.

Ah yeah I see those now. Kinda what I was thinking but built into the switch housing. I was looking to do them on the backside so it would serve the same purpose as those L brackets but not obvious.

What ones do you have? I was trying to find some that fit the Molle openings but not much luck yet

So here’s a little progress on the project. I just need to run the switch wires down to the secondary fuse/relay box in the engine bay. Turned out decent I think. Might make another and make some changes to it. I’ll get some better pics when it’s daylight out.

Much appreciated! It’s not up to my standard but for a “test” unit I’m not gonna complain lol
