Something similar to that is what I am considering building. But of extruded alum and birch so it's lighter. I am already heavy. I need to find ways to cut weight and be more streamline/functional rather than add weight. It's amazing how fast pounds add up.

This is also in the running- the Yoke Kitchen. Roto-molded and fairly lightweight but no legs or side tables. I like that the top can become the wash bin. One less thing to carry.

All of this being said, the one I posted earlier (DOCK) was stupidly easy to use and move around, and had literally everything in it except the collapsable wash bin. Top was used as a prep/cutting board surface. The thing I liked the most was the leg section goes overtop the case locking in the doors and allowing the case to stack with other Alu-Boxes. Looks like it will work fine but that price is pretty steep for me. I tend to go simple and more inexpensive. We have made several chuck boxes to fit in all our various rigs over the years. They can get big and heavy pretty quickly. I have settled on a fairly small box set-up that isn't too heavy and can be removed easily. Simply built from old apple boxes and plywood. Like most of us, the truck does double duty so having heavy hard to remove gear just won't work. One box is the stove base and houses all the kitchen gear. The second box is for all the dry goods. The cooler is easily accessed through the side door. It all can be removed and stored in the shop in a few minutes. Best of all it costs a small fraction of the slide-out and is tailored to our needs.

For anyone who was following this thread I decided to go a different direction. By happenstance I stumbled on another option that I had seen several years ago. It looks like Jeff finally sold the patent or rights of his design to Morryde who just started producing this not long ago. I had followed Jeff's (he's over on JeepForum and ExpeditionPortal) creation of this product some 8 years ago or so and thought it was pretty cool. Turns out it's the perfect size, for me - this option is narrower and smaller than what fridges most people carry so be forewarned. however, I plan to make some changes and additions for a flip open sink, drain, and water for quick and easy dishes and cooking. Not super happy about the weight but in time I may work on having a local place fabricate an alum version. Anywho - right now Q tech has it on sale for cheaper than anywhere else I have found, worth a look and consideration IMO
