Don’t get me wrong I want this to, however not sure “soon” is the best way to discribe it. Granted “soon” is open to interpretation.

I have no insider knowledge but here is logic. Mid/Late Nov JL packages and some pricing becomes available. Late January JLs show up at dealerships. Approximately 60 days. If the JT will be in dealership April 2019 I would guess that the pricing and packages would be out around February 2019.

Hope in one hand and .......nevermind you know the rest.:cwl:

Personally, I’m just trying to keep my expectations realistic.

I'm guessing a full reveal at LA again, which is annoying but makes sense with deliveries in April 2019. I do think we will see full on real mules (not the JK ones we have been seeing) by July. How long did the say retoolling will take the JK line? 3 months? That would put us end of July before the production test units hit the street, which seems about right based on what we saw with the JL.

With that said I recently was going to look for a used Raptor, but I think I'm going to suck it up and buy some new bumpers for the JK to make it feel new again and wait it out for the JT.

I hope so. I already plan to go to the L.A. auto show. Would be nice to see it there.

Oh good call. They might as thats when most new Trucks are shown.
Could very well be the reason for the April dealer delivery dates.

NAIAS, Jan 12-27, 2019.

Gives them a buffer for any mfg delays, time for internal and dealer training, stock spare parts, full marketing blitzkrieg. (Lessons learned from the JL rollout).

Everyone knows pickup trucks are a big deal and a couple of new ones from Jeep and Volkswagen are apparently coming closer to reality.

First off is the Jeep pickup truck built off the new Jeep Wrangler platform. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. officials confirmed that the Jeep pick-up truck was under development a long time ago. In fact, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne predicted Jeep could sell as many as 100,000 annually once production gets rolling.

But up until now FCA has been a little vague about when it might actually enter the showrooms.

However, FCA officials spread the word during the recent convention of the National Automobile Dealers Association in Las Vegas that the new Jeep pickup would be showroom ready by April 2019, according to Automotive News. Production could begin as soon as the fourth quarter of this year.

More news about the next Jeep pickup is likely to come on June 1 when Marchionne is expected to lay out the company’s next five-year plan.

Speculation is that the new Jeep pickup will actually be part of a new family of pickup trucks to compete with vehicles such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Toyota Tacoma and Honda Ridgeline.

Jeep made the Comanche pickup until 1992 based on an old version of the Cherokee, which was phased out years ago.

The title is misleading. I think they are saying the VW truck could show at NY, but they also threw JT info in there.

If the diesel isn't available at launch there are going to be a lot of pissed off people. Its bad enough they are making JL buyers wait another year.
