I think the Nitto Trail Recon and the Toyo Open Country RT Trail are virtually the same tire now. How do you like the Trail Recons?
Love them. Better in the snow and better in the rain. I had toys in the past and didn't like them but that was a while ago.

I gotcha. The rig looks great on those. Just did my taxes yesterday so now I’m just waiting on that deposit. It was better than I expected so that brings the Baja Boss into play. Torn between those and the RT trails

For anyone wondering, I went with the Toyo Open country RT Trail, I couldn’t pass up the price. I got 5 tires plus a sensor for my spare and they even paid me for my old tires. Plus I got 26mpg round trip on the 120 mile drive in SoCal traffic ?

I really couldn’t say no, it came out to 360 per tire mounted and balanced. It’s nice to have 5 matching tires instead of 4 mud tires and one that’s pretty close to the same size to the other 4 lol

Let me throw this back to the mileage with 37’s since I just put mine on. How does it effect needed brake service for you guys that have had them on for some miles?

I’ve had 37s on since 4k miles in and I’m at 33k miles now. My brakes look a little more than halfway down, I’ll probably go another 10k and change em out. I’m at that point where I feel like a little bit of stopping power has started to diminish and it takes more effort to stop the truck. I can still lock up the brakes in emergency situations though.

35's for 40k + 37's for 38k, my brakes are doing just fine. Imo brake life will be more determined by how someone drives, type of roads, and/or offroads
