I assume though still EOC having the ability to turn off the egr is going to be better for engine longevity than not.

We don't have enough data yet to conclude engine longevity, so we can't say for sure how EOC's aggressive tuning might hurt the engine. On the Gen 2 engines, we saw a pattern of folks having bottom end failures within a short period of time after tuning. We also saw cracked heads and head gasket failures, but those were higher mileage engines.

Well, learning a lot of things right now. I have the stage 1 and tow tune, didn’t want the race. So hopefully less aggressive. I wish I could get the GDE but my hands are tied currently

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You don't log enough miles in a given year for it to make a big difference. You can get the GDE tune a year or two from now.

Does that imply GDE will reattempt carb? When I spoke with Keith the other day he was very direct with his lack of appetite for reattempting

Some foreshadowing. I doubt it, CARB is so too powerful. That’s why my cat costs 1500 in California and 300 bucks in Arizona.
