That curved bed is deceiving. I could nail my Tacoma every single time without fail but there's something about not having a good reference line that throws me off on these trucks. I just learned to know that my vision will put me off a few degrees driver so I give it a little turn about a foot before stopping. As someone who drives a work truck daily (FedEx), mirrors mirrors mirrors, the back up camera is ONLY to be used to see how close you are to completing your parking while you are straight
I have not found confirmation, but someone posted that the camera lines are slightly off and the recall update for the camera fixes it. I mostly use the camera for distance when backing up. I have always relied on my mirrors. When I tried to use just the camera, I couldn't park straight in the spot. Mine downloaded the camera update on July 3rd. It does seem a little better, but I can't tell for sure.I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue. I thought maybe my backup camera was crooked
