My steel factory bumper has these protrusions (I’m sure there’s a more technical term) made of plastic. I feel like if I were to accidentally bump into something, even at a slow speed, these would be demolished. Do any aftermarket replacements exist for just this part of the bumper? Otherwise I’m quite satisfied with the rest of it.

Those are obnoxious... I thought those only came with a factory winch? You could probably swap them out with ones from a pre '24.

Maybe @AllMoparParts.com knows if they can be swapped? I think the protrusion is there to help protect the fairlead.

Yeah, if memory serves, those extended versions were included in the older Warn winch mounting plate kits from Mopar. At least they were on our JL. I am sure I have instructions around here somewhere that shows them.......

EDIT: Can't find my instructions, but found these with a search over on the JL forums.

Correct. But only with factory installed winches. And from what I can tell, OP does not have a factory installed winch.

I had that on my YJ, I believe its just bumper pads or guards. First time I've seen it on newer bumpers though. Nice green JT btw! My friend has a Tacoma in the same color

JK's, JL's and JT's all have bumper guards (bumperets?) from fcatory. None have stock out that far before.

So, those were with the winch mount kit, and we installed them according to the directions when I added my winch. I just can’t imagine they’re actually going to protect any part of the winch.

Hi Rick,
They protrude due to the factory winch option. You can swap to the lower profile but will need to swap the crush cans as well. Here is the parts list

Cans
68325052AD
68325051AD

Bezels
68295559AA
68295558AA

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
- Benny

Those are bigger and uglier then the ones that came with my Mopar Performance Parts mid width bumper. I agree you took off the factory ones why not put them back on?…..Jack
