So I have been patiently waiting for prices to come down. I heard the end of the year was the best time to pick up 2024 models.

this one almost fits the bill. I want Bedliner and aux ports.

he said he would remove the Gap, since I am buying in cash.
A little about me, I hate buying new, but seeing prices stabilize I think it is a rare opportunity to buy new instead of used.
Do you people feel prices will still soften heading to year end? (I do) would love opinions.

Just judging from the sheet, I see no added “adds” fees and over 10% off MSRP (if the top sales price is MSRP), so it doesn’t look awful (all things considered). That is of course if they are not making it back from you on a bloated APR.

I still think that’s an insanely high price for a Jeep but hey, it’s 2024 prices.

Bugs me to see nice rebates on trucks when there was none when I bought mine 🤣 Knowing nothing about the truck it seems like the only thing is the GAP, which you said they'll remove but also since that is solely to protect you they shouldn't include even if you financed.

Here is the vehicle in question

2024 NIghthawk

It also looks like there are additional incentives available for cash buyers that you might want to ask about

I got down to $38.4 on a similar equipment knighthawk this week. I walked out because I think I can get a better deal. I would continue to shop around.

Good that you don't need gap insurance. That insurance quote is pretty high. I think through PenFed it is something around $525. Well, if you finance through them.

There is a reason the GAP Insurance is more expensive from a dealership than a credit union. Not all GAP insurance is the same so when buying it you need to read the fine print and make sure it will actually cover you in case you need it. IE most dealership GAP Insurance covers up to 150% of the MSRP of the vehicle and will cover negative equity if you traded in a vehicle. Some of the cheaper credit union GAP insurance will only cover up to 75% of the MSRP of the vehicle and will not cover any negative equity if you traded in a vehicle. When buying GAP one shoe does not fit all. Also. GAP insurance through the dealership is refundable at a prorated rate whereas credit unions it is not refundable so if you sell the vehicle or trade it in later you are out the money.

I don't think I would take that deal. I'm seeing over 20% off on almost everything I'm looking at and that's without even having to negotiate. I would think since you're a cash buyer, you could probably get to 25-30% off. Offer 30% off and see what they say. Worst case, they say no and you walk away and let them chase you down in the parking lot (assuming it's local)

Seems a bit high to me. The only real feature I see is the Infotainment system. I'm sure there are still some '23 deals to be had out there on a fully loaded Gladi...just my 2cents
